Adults don't need comebacks. We're adults. Troll on kid.

If he gets an offer to start somewhere, it'll be for somewhere in the $8-10M range...while $10M might seem high, the anticipated increase in the cap will make that the norm for a starting PG.

If he doesn't get a starting offer, he'll stay in Charlotte for a below-market price (Charlotte won't be able to offer a market price because of all the FAs they need to sign, but Lin will be willing to take less to stay with Clifford and his teammates).

Are you fabricating your adulthood? That grammar works, unlike fabricating clues.

    I'd say he'll get a starter offer between 5-7M/year.

Where I think he'll go: Brooklyn or Dallas.

    Maybes:
    - San Antonio. Even Lin doesn't start, Parker is old and their reserve is some guy called Patty. He'll get plenty of playing time. But not sure if the Spurs are willing to offer him a job.
    - Chicago
    - Sacramento (he'll be close to home and Rondo will mostly likely leave)

    No way he'll go to:
    - 76ers. No one wants to play for the 76ers
    - Knicks or Rockets (it just won't work with Melo or Harden).

Average starting PG salaries are in that range now, but with the new higher cap, those salaries will be higher. The fact that Lin is regarded as one of the top 3 PGs in Free Agency this offseason means that he will likely get higher offers. 8-10M/year is more likely what he'll get offered...but whether he takes it depends on how he feels about fit/chemistry with the coach and teammates compared to what he feels in Charlotte.

how can it be below-market price he deserves if that's the only offer he gets?

Why do you think it will be the only offer he gets?

    Below market value example:
other teams offer him 7M as a backup in a less than ideal situation (playing time, playing style, etc)
Charlotte can only offer him 5M and he continues to play in same role as last year.

So you believe Lin will only have one team offering him a contract? Ie Charlotte?

    Yes? or no?

Holy ****balls. Some posters in the top 5 have either 90% of their CF posts in this very thread or 50%.

Keep up the good fight, whatever the hell it is.

You're acting like this reserve named patty is some scrub. If I remember correctly, he helped San Antonio win the nba championship while Lin helped rockets lose in the first round with very dumb moments. And don't just say, it's cause it's the Spurs.

Hornets unlikely to have space to sign Jeremy Lin after other priorities

Trade Harden to the Clippers for Jordan and their #1 pick next season. Bring Jeremy back and here we go.....
