Right but when was the last time an Austin team actually won state in 6A (or the old 5A)? Those are incredibly rare. It's usually DFW vs. Houston area for the hardware. 4A is another story with Lake Travis.
The Austin area doesn't have very many 5A-6A schools because it's tiny compared to Houston and DFW. Until recently, Austin has been a very small town. That being said Westlake and Lake Travis have had a history of being near the top of the rankings and Cedar Park has been in the championship game 3 out of the last 4 seasons.
