I'm so happy that we gave the two fingers to Real and told them to jog on! We will get compensated fairly for him next summer. £50m no more no less... well, that's if he still wants to leave. Not sure anymore after the debacle from this past window.

United announced this at 12:00 on the dot. Coincidence or banterz?

Benatia just recovered from his injury from 4 weeks ago and was only doubtful for tomorrow's game, now he re-injured his leg again and will be out for at least another month, urgh. We seem to have some of the most injury-prone top players in Europe.

And btw, all of our guys injure themselves during rehab or after coming back pre-maturely. We really seem to rush players back instead of thinking long-term, that's a reason why Müller-Wohlfahrt was fed up and left.

Gladbach Losing 2:0 vs Hamburg, now zero points and 2:11 goals. Really weird, had them as a top 4 team. This seems to play out like Dortmund last season, former top 4 team with an abysmal first half of the season and then gunning for the EL places.

Chelsea are rubbish again. City wins 1-0 on late goal by Iheancho. KDB should have had a couple of assists if Jesus Navas had an ounce of class in him.

A tale of two halves. What a game!

Martial getting a lot of overreaction love from the fans and press alike, hope it's a good confidence booster for future games as he develops.

    Benteke's goal. Wow!

Liverpool is doing everything they possibly can to lose their fan base.

I wonder what happened to Pool's strikers. Rodgers should rethink his strategy because what he's doing obviously isn't working. Pair Origi with Benteke up front, get rid of Turtle and Lovren. When will he realize that those two are poison? Turtle was garbage 4 years ago, and is still garbage now.

Oh well, at least this will be Rodger's last season. We're a 7th place team at best.

Nothing better to say.. only that this thread is too quiettttttttttttt!!!!

Too bad we don't have any Madrid fans here (or there might be some but are quiet cuz they be sucking this past 5 years ) or I would call them out and I'm sure we can return this thread to it's glory ;)

In other news, what was up with Bayern's lineup last weekend? I know certain people here don't like him and won't say names but coughcoughJackiecoughcoughYung-Tcoughcough. Any comments from innocent bystanders?

It was one of those weird line-ups that didn't make sense on paper and where Pep adjusted several times in-game because he had no real plan. We played okay though (26:4 shots) and the penalty was a correct decision.
Pep started the season with a good formation, so I'll stay quiet until the usual starters are back from injury, he then has no excuse to experiment with his silly line-ups.

So the main injured guys (or starters) would be Benatia, Robben, Franck? Is Javi all good now? What would be your ideal formation and lineup for Bayern? Just curious.

    Injured: Benatia, Robben, Ribery.
    Rehab and back soon: Badstuber
Martinez is back from injury and will likely be back playing soon.

Ideal formation would be (sorry I'm on my phone, will post a proper graphic tomorrow):

    Lewandowski

    Ribery/Costa Müller Robben

    Thiago Vidal

    Alaba Boateng Martínez Lahm
    Neuer

So a 4-2-3-1-- I would put Benatia at CB instead of Javi and Javi instead of Thiago at CM but other than that wonderful starting 11.

Feel like this wouldn't work defensively, unless you tell the defensive line to stay back the whole game. And we wouldn't stop anyone in the midfield.

It's a luxury problem, true. Shows how deep our team has become and gives you a bit of a headache.

We need Thiago's creativity and 1on1 skills the midfield though, unless we start playing in a Heynckes system and play faster with a deep defense.

    We'd just win 6-5.

You guys would still win the Bundesliga with a 1 man defense hahaha

Champions League starting up again! Martial starts for us tonight. No pressure buddy. Just keep doing what you've been doing.

Man United, Man City, Real Madrid, PSG, Benfica, Sevilla to win
    Gala/Atletico and Wolfsburg/CSKA end even
