Pretty entertaining half. Hate Neymar but he took that chance wonderfully. Croatia is exploiting the full-backs and David Luiz. They had some chances.

Rakitic and Modric are class. I've always wondered why Dortmund sold Perisic. He's not bad either.

Neymar is a different player when he plays for Brazil.

But I don't think anyone that's watched them play over the last couple of years ever thought their midfield was special or they have a more talented squad than in years past. I think it's just about them playing as more of a team and less as individuals.

    Gotta agree re. Neymar though.

Dude I dunno but I think he was. He made an impact that first season, even though he was showing early signs of his party lifestyle.

Awesome first half. Both teams have opened up play, with both getting some good/great chances. Brazil is obviously much flashier (and much more potent on the attack), but Croatia has done an excellent job of mitigating Brazil's style of play in combination with the crowd and the mounting pressure of the match. I'd say Croatia should be ecstatic with a 1-1 draw going into the half.

I wonder how Eduardo feels or will feel if he gets to play in this match vs his country of origin. Crazy emotions I'd guess.

I also wonder if he did sing the Brazilian anthem after the Croatian anthem was played lol.

He doesn't dive, you just don't see what really happens.

Comparing Neymar to Ronaldinho is unfair first of all, it's like me trying to judge John Wall's play & comparing him to Isaiah Thomas.

Before the match, I thought Modric was the best player on the field, I would've put him above Thiago Silva & Neymar, but damn, when ever Neymar puts on that 5 star jersey it's like he plays like a man possessed.

Brazil's problem ins't there midfield it's their strikers. Fred just not impressive at all, Brazil's always had great strikers, Adriano, R9, Ronaldinho, Bebeto, Romario... & this striker pool just lacks killer instinct.

Even though I'm not the greatest Neymar fan, what's crazy is that in significantly less international appearances than Ronaldinho, he only needs two more goals to equal Gaucho's total for Brazil! That's impressive.
Although, Neymar is playing with ineffective strikers and Gaucho had some damn good strikers to provide assists too.

Look at Croatia's wiki. I think they added a Brazilian player.

Lucky he scored on that penalty. Plus, disgusting dive by Fred.
