    To sail the ball over the goal by ~5 meters? Yes, that is a choke. He should have tried something else other than a long attempt to score like that.

    And it isn't like he showed up the past 3 matches anyways.

    Its choke to be a non factor in semi finals and finals of the WC as the best player in the world.

    The best player for Argentina the past two games was Mascherano.

    Also, all those saying its not fair to criticize Messi for his WC performances and to judge him because of his crappy team can stop that as well now. He was in the finals and his team played great defense.

    No one is close to his individual accomplishments. Not even close.

    Not winning a world cup that comes every 4 years shouldn't tarnish his legacy.

    He still has one more chance in 2018.
