Yeag i know. We are playing terrible. Mexico is letting us have control over the ball. Only sneijder robben and van persie dare to make offensive plays. The rest is to conservative. Wijnaldum and verheagh are terrible. I still have faith we will win. We play great second halves. But van gaal does need to do some magic.
I like your positive attitude. :-D Let's see what happens. Yeah, Mexico have been more dangerous for sure. The best we can do is pass it around at the back - we can't do anything. Sneijder hasn't been great either. I'm surprised by how conservative Wijnaldum is playing, considering he's a naturally offensive player...
I agree. Too much movement backwards with the ball when there is opportunity to go forward. I'll admit it. I'm still rooting for the Oranje. I just can't will myself to even remotely pull for mexico.
Is Cillessen the weak link? I can't really decide whom to root for. On the one hand, I don't want to meet Argentina in the final (which I think is a given for them to reach the final, if they don't have to go through Holland). I really, really like Arjen (know him personally) - don't like Sneijder and Van Persie too much and don't like Van Gaal too much (do respect him a lot as a coach, though). I have Dutch friends and Mexican friends. I guess I'll just say I hope the better team wins...although I think I am leaning a bit towards rooting for the Dutch. I would root for either Mexico or Netherlands against Brazil and Argentina, if Germany doesn't make it.
Feel like Brazil, Colombia, Netherlands and Mexico are in better shape than Argentina, don't they reach the Finals.
