What? Why? Season 5 was amazing. "Ozymandias" is the greatest hour of television ever (or even any recording video medium).
Season 5 felt completely inorganic. Like the writers originally wrote this awesome story up to Season 4, fully intending to stop there... but the networks demanded more, so they tacked on this additional season. The villains were paper thin and the story was convoluted. It was by far the weakest of the 5 seasons. Spoiler I didn't like Ozymandias, either. The whole thing felt really forced, shallow, and violent for the sake of violence. I think the series would have been much better served if it had stopped after Season 4, regardless of the cliffhanger/teaser at the end (could have been completely optional). Leaving the audience wondering who *really* was the bad guy would have been an immensely powerful ending that would leave an impression on people for ages. Having Walter rig up a trunk-mounted .50 caliber machine and gun down a bunch of neo-nazis was not really all that believable or satisfying.
I haven't seen the article but if they are talking about the West Coast there isn't enough snow this year. While a lot of the country has been complaining about the cold and snow the West Coast has been having a record drought and record high temps. Much of CA's water is dependent on the Sierra snow pack and even with a big storm last week it is still only 29% of normal.
clutchfans thread about winter storms in houston thread consists of breaking bad spoilers you never disappoint
Winter just doesn't want to leave! If this comes through, this will be the 7th winter event for SE Texas this winter. That is pretty amazing.
Indeed, it is. Winter Storm Warning for Austin metro area and adjacent Hill Country. Winter Weather Advisory for San Antonio. I'm expecting a Winter Weather Advisory to be issued for the Houston area, although the forecast for all of Texas is still highly uncertain. A slight deviation in temperature will make a huge difference.
I agree. We will likely see an Advisory or even Warning this afternoon. I think we will see a major temp bust today also. I am sitting at 28 right now and I don't see us hitting the 40s as they are forecasting. The clouds are still here and cold air advection is still ongoing. Things will be interesting tonight to say the least. You can already see the potent disturbance on water vapor imagery heading towards Texas right now.
