I thought Seastrunk played really well in the preseason. I know he had a couple of TD's, including one long one he broke off a swing pass.

As to Angerer, I'd have more interest in Yawin Smallwood and Shayne Skov at ILB.

I agree with Still and Seastrunk being interesting.

Also, we could get Danieal Manning back if we wanted, he got cut by the Bengals

I just want Angerer so we can harvest his organs and ligaments to stitch Cushing back together after his inevitable season ending injury.

As for Manning, I'd rather have a guy named Dookie Nacho just for the lulz.

He did play very well. Washington just has depth at running back already. They are probably trying to stash him on their practice squad...
But I wouldn't be mad at all if the Texans scooped him up. I like his potential better than all of the Texans backup RB's.

Trouble is, who do you cut? It would have to be Ronnie Brown, imo.
Texans intend to use a running game as evidenced by keeping 4 RB's and a FB

Major Wright is ten times more athletic and ten yrs younger than Manning. Adding Dimitri Patterson and Major Wright would sure up our secondary

I keep asking people but not getting an answer; when we propose picking up a cut vet, don't we have to pay his full current salary, and, do we have any cap space for that?

Also, most of these guys are cut for a reason they could be 1. not really good 2. not worth their salary to a cap strapped team (us) 3. outplayed by all the depth on their team 4. slowed by injury or 5. I guess, forgot to show up for a preseason game

If we pick them up off waivers, we assume their current contracts.

Also, keep in mind that the point of picking up these players isn't to find starters...it's to find depth. So although they may not be good enough to make a certain team, we would be shoring up the depth in an area where we are weak. Therefore, there shouldn't be a concern that they were cut from other teams, because it could still be a huge upgrade for us.

If the 4th best player on a team is better than the 2nd best player on our team then the general manager should be fired....... oh

We're good at runningback, our secondary is trash. Adding Seastrunk to to an already clogged runningback rotation makes no sense unless Foster is out for the season and they just decide to cut Brown cause he's old. Talking about runningback when we have four serviceable backs on the roster is a waste of time. Our secondary is pathetic, OB should be looking at every corner and safety available. Of what's available Wright and Patterson are the most productive. I'm not totally blown away by our ILB depth so they should look at that too

We are first in line on the waver wire - last seasons both the Colts and the Chiefs picked up more than 10 players being first in line. There are several reasons why a player could be cut (like not being a scheme fit, not getting along with the coach, real tough competition).

Remember when we signed Pollard of the street? There are always some gems to be found and we definetly have some holes. Some could probably even be starters for us (at #3 CB, at #2 ILB or at RG) and others could be valuable depth.

Ricky Smith and O'Brien are probably happy with what we have.

Those are running in circles moves....
