Didn't Carlos Perez make it as the third catcher? (He's actually a decent prospect.)

Also, I assume that the comment about platooning RF means that Grossman is (for now) the everyday LF?

They're taking 13 pitchers and McTaggart said Perez isn't making the club.

    I see you're an optimist.

In case anyone was wondering, Appel threw a scoreless 7th in a 9-6 win. He allowed 1 hit and k'd 2 in his first appearance of the spring.

Yeah, I would figure Harrell gets released once our guys come off the DL. Very surprised to see him in the rotation over Peacock.

I'm surprised to see him still in the organization regardless of injuries to others.

I am too (I think Zeid should have made the roster at Harrell's expense).

They can say one bad game, but the other 4 games were:

    13.1IP 12H 7BB

A 1.45WHIP isn't indicative of a lot of success (not to mention what plagued him last year was inconsistency as he would have a great start, than follow it with an ugly one).

Maybe they're hoping he strings together a few good starts to enhance his already limited trade value.

I think its Brett Wallace all over again.

Inability to let go of a dud who once showed promise.

Peacock was the most intriguing pitcher (for me) going into this season... has some pretty good breaking stuff to go along with movement on the FB.
