 Funny to think that was TWENTY years ago... before most pitchers now even knew they were going to be pitchers.

I had hoped Singleton and Springer would make the team this year even though I fully expect those two guys to be strikeout machines.
Brian McTaggart @brianmctaggart Cosart will start Game 2 of season against Yankees, Oberholtzer will start Game 3
Wanted Springer to force their hand with a big spring, but in all honesty even if he went to camp as 50/50 to make the team he didn't perform well enough to make it. Really disappointed in Singleton this spring also, was hoping to see something that made it look like we had our future 1B with him, but all we can do now is wait and see how he does at AAA. The others never really were thought of as major league guys right now anyway, although Folty was one of our better pitchers this spring and would be great to see him here this summer
None of them were likely to make the team out of ST. Springer & Singleton will be interesting to see how long they stay down.
Agree, although i'm starting to be more than just a little worried about Singleton, after last year his performance this spring doesn't inspire much confidence I know it is a tiny sample size, but.....
Maybe he hits better if he's high. My college roommate swore that he could do everything better if he was high...study, play ball, etc.
