Why would I put you on ignore? I told you I'm not going to stick around (that has nothing to do with you or this bet, it's just the feeling I've been getting from the playoff discussions where the rampant hatred frankly is quite distasteful). I have no problem donating to clutchfans although I am somewhat peeved at them because 1) I donated 8 years ago and never received a response to my emails about it-- that was back when I actually wanted to be able to edit posts and 2) I was issued a "warning" for something I said when I've had 10x worse condescending epithets thrown my way.

The only reason I wanted to go through an escrow is that clutch might not update my status again and then you'll just assume I welched and it is extremely important to me that you not think that because I think bet welchers are really ****ty people since it speaks a lot to a person's character not to keep their word.

And wtf is this "talking a big game"? I never bragged. I just said that it was ridiculous to assert that the reason I didn't want to take your ridiculous initial bet (sweep vs no sweep which paid 6:1 in vegas vs 1:1 in you odds) was that I was worried about the money, because it really is small compared to what I bet on the daily.

I guess if you trust me and just want me to donate, I'll can do that. I'll tell them to give the membership to LosPollosHermanos.

LOL at clippy feeling alienated and offended by the posters here. While I agree the NBA dish is not what it use to be, its far from offensive atleast in comparison to most of your posts. As a fellow poster who isnt primarily a rockets fans, I agree that some few in the nba dish or strangely offended by the cheering/discussion of other teams, but for the most part it is the immaturity, name calling, boasting and offensive nature of many of your posts that's responsible for most of negative response.

Feel free to point out anything I've said that offended you. I feel like I've been pretty well-behaved here and may have lashed out only when attacked first. Yeah, I probably rubbed in the 4-0 ownage of the Rockets but that pales in comparison to the things people have said to me, it's ridiculous.

Anyway, I just sent the $25 and hopefully it gets credited to LosPollosHermanos (another guy who I believe called me "insecure" for wanting GSW instead of POR, although I think that was the right call seeing how these series have played out.. anyway he must be a good poster to have so many posts so I hope it serves him well).

The crew running this board are generally less emotional and more rational when it comes to handing out punishments. I don't agree with everything they do but I get where they're coming from. I don't think you're a welcher since you brought up the bet quickly, so I trust that you'd donate if you say you will. I hate welchers too. Any welcher I meet in life is dead to me. But it's just a bbs so I care about anyone on here that I don't know personally. Good luck on your Clippers playoffs futures and wading through all that weird Sterling mud. Donate on behalf of senior Gus Fring or yourself or no one if you want to pay up.

You've never offended me as I dont think I actually disagreed with too many of your positions and again Im not primarily a Rockets Fan but an NBA fan, I just think many of your posts are either insulting or derogatory to another poster or player or coach. Disagreements and difference of opinions is one thing, trolling and worthless namecalling, insults are another.

I have definitely made derogatory comments about Kobe & Mark Jackson, who I think are huge scumbags (and both adulterers, coincidentally). I have probably attacked anyone who is a fan of those two as well. However, at least most are in solidarity with regard to that. Outside of that, I'd love to see which posts of mine are derogatory or insulting, outside of playful banter when our teams are playing (and the Clippers are likely kicking your ass, but that's just how it goes).

Huh? I'd love if the Clippers were kicking my ass, that would mean I was part of an NBA team!

Like I said its just the general tone of many of your post, not just mark jackson or kobe ( neither of whom I'm a big fan of btw) but in general, when discussing players, coaches people or often times when responding to other posters. Recent example was in a game thread, someone simply disagreed with you on a Deandre block, which you instantly reply with insults, not exactly a quality response. Again you aren't the only one by far, which is why i mostly go to the espn daily dime chats (unfortunately they arent running them) for game chats.

Anyways goodluck in whatever forum you go to and enjoy this crazy great first round of the nba. Hoping the warriors/Clippers go 7 double ot.

Clippy - it sucks that you lost the bet in this manner and it sucks what is happening to the Clippers. They are a much better team than the GSW and I predicted them to win in 5 or 6 games as well. Most clutchfans pick against the clippers because they don't like and are jealous of CP3 and Blake - they are haters. The same reason they don't like Miami. The same reason they've never liked the Lakers. Jealous of success. It's human nature. If you are a fan of a non-rockets team or a non-rockets player here in the dish you are going to get abused by the majority. Just look at me. Don't take it so personal.

With that being said, if I were betting with you I would call off the bet and not require you to pay, but the escrow thing is BS. I'm a contributing member here and have lost and won several bets and after I donated, I was upgraded to a contributing member the very same day so don't say Clutch or whomever won't upgrade your account, that's a bunch of BS. Paypal is easy to use so if you want to donate or pay up don't over-complicate it.

As to the actual series, instead of clippy-fest, I really thought at the moment of warmups that the players made a big mistake *just in terms of basketball*. They were clearly shook up and feeling awkward, and I think the whole demonstration with the warmups took them even further out of their routine and took their minds even further from basketball.

As I'm sure someone has mentioned/posted, Doc said after the game he did not favor that action by the players, but he supported their right to make the statement.

I am so sympathetic with them, but then playoff basketball needs absolutely every ounce of your concentration. They're in such a tough spot. :( The Warriors seem like they have not one ounce of pity, for what it's worth.

Its impossible to know how much they've actually dealt with behind the scenes because im sure its been a storm of stuff.

Its probably also equally impossible for them to not have it on their minds. Its a fresh issue and the more you think about it from their standpoint its even more messed up.

    All the hard work
    Middle of the playoffs
    What do they do now
What if the NBA doesn't come down on DTS
Do they just break up friendships and ask for trades seperately
guy who might've came back next year, might just bounce
Where will they go if they do leave
Is Doc going to even bother being there
One moment broke up everything they've worked for all year
and the list goes on from family and peer pressures to Union pressures, etc..

Its a load to deal with in one day

Meh, they knew he was a racist beforehand. This is similar to Snowden leaking that the nsa was spying on us. (not trying to get political, so my apologies) This was a very open "secret". Anyone pretending otherwise was being willfully ignorant.

    Let me get this straight.

You are b****ing about a "warning"????

Considering your combative tone in here with people, I would wager you should feel fortunate to have *only* got a warning. I would have guessed you would have many infractions in your time here.

As for the others.....how do you know they didn't get tagged with worse than a "warning"?

    Ill answer for you....you don't.

Stay or go...don't really care. Just make sure when you b**** about how we do things, you have a real reason for it.

After the Silver announcement, I like the Clippers to win tonight.

As a Clipper season ticket holder, even before the Commissioner's statement the mood in the city had crystallized behind supporting the players and the team as a way to keep the pressure on Sterling. So I think they were going to get a boost with or without the Commissioner's statement. Mark Jackson's fan boycott request also annoyed people in LA as it is being viewed as self-serving overreach.

Now, the Commissioner has spoken out decisively. I believe the Clippers have a good chance to win this game by 10 or more points, though Draymond Green has been a tough matchup.

Buying a ticket of a Clipper game is direct support to racism.

Question to clippy and others - if you aren't a Rockets fan, what brought you here? Curious of all the places online to talk NBA, why here?
