Honestly . . . this is the first time I have seen LeBron in pain/hurt.

The difference between GREAT and Good is lack of injury
    Ask Penny Hardaway
    and so many others

It's amazing- if you think about it, this is about the worst throwing-under-the-bus of a great player that I've ever seen. Not one player has mentioned anything about "well, I played through it, but not everyone's body reacts the same..." - I mean, every comment is about how they used to play in situations like this and it's not a big deal, no excuse, etc. In other words, LeBron turns out to be the p***y. Just wow- you'd think that at least Wade or Bosh would come to Lebron's defense.

Got cramps once while playing racketball. Played through it cos it
was competition. Cramped up a few times more during the match.

I felt the calf days after. I think I wouldnt have been 100% if I had to play 3 days later.

And it wasnt as bad as what LeBrons looked like.

But then I didnt have masseurs and physios helping me recover quicker.

Hope he'll be OK for Sunday but I think he wont escape unscathed by this cramp
ie. it'll affect him a little and will be on his mind.

    1. But you know a professional NBA player that has access to tremendous amounts of medical care and resources cant find ways to remain hydrated and keep his electrolytes corrected during the course of a game.

    2. That exactly is my point;they rely on him too much on offense and defense. Lebron needs help. No reason two other future HOF's cant step their games up.

My irritation is more so directed at the conspiracy theorists that stated that the AC units were intentionally shut down.

I can really tell who played any type of competitive sports, because you would know there is no way in hell you can fight through cramps.

This. Its like a kitchen knife stabbing your calf muscle or other leg muscles. Not a lebron fan but this is ridiculous. Watch an aggressive lebron probably go off for 40 plus in game 2.

I said down the strech they didn't do anything. Why does Wade and Bosh get a pass for struggling late?

Yeah I think people have forgotten what cramps are like. Your muscles just physically lock up and you aint moving

I don't give a damn who wins this series but I felt for Lebron last night. Cramps can be debilitating and people making fun of Lebron are basically looking like haters. The staff at AT&T center should be more embarrassed than Lebron for their AC unit breaking down and creating ridiculous playing conditions on the biggest stage of the NBA season. Spurs won the game last night and might have won if Lebron would have finished, but the Heat looked primed to steal that game before Lebron succumbed to cramps.

LeBron James left game one of the finals with cramps. WNBA players stay in the game even on their heavy flow days.-Adam Wolf

I totally understand his pain. I would have just fell down and stayed there till a stretcher arrived and took me to the ER. That being said, some of the stuff poking fun is funny.

Muscle cramps, Back spasms are some of the most benign yet debilitating things that can happen when playing sports regardless of level. My issue has nothing to do with Lebron cramping up. When you combing steaming hot weather and intense professional play, players are bound to get muscle spasms. That ish happens and its sucks. He really couldnt do much about it other than try correcting his electrolytes and fluids as quickly as he can. Heck even the salt pill he received wasnt beneficial.

The issue was that the Heat were only down by 2 and had a real chance to steal game 1 on the road in such crappy conditions. But the other parts of the big three failed to galvanize their team and respond. Secondly, I find it really stupid to think that people intentionally caused the situation. Other than that, all this Lebron hate is really idiotic...

QUESTION: Is this on Spoe? Should he and the coaches been on top of the hydration issue?

you guys are acting like miami didn't have a lot of turnovers. They had 16 themselves. Also Lebron went out the game after he hit the layup and heat were down 2 after that. The Heat already gave up the lead, and Spurs were shooting lights out. Spurs shot 14/16 in the 4th quarter, Heat still would have loss with Lebron.

My vote earlier in the thread was Spo and his training staff, yes.

    It's not on Lebron.

I don't think it's on anybody, certainly not Spoelstra or LeBron.

If someone has to be blamed, pin it on Miami's trainers.
