Huh? Did you think he wasn't? Do you think they'd allow him to set foot anywhere near a baseball field if he was still using and/or under the influence?

We've all heard the Josh Hamilton story... and even he suffered multiple relapses, despite almost never having a career to begin with. These guys know they can't flush their career down the toilet, and that its just the beginning of fighting a lifelong battle.

But as far as him using or not recovered now? c'mon!

    Thanks cod for the link...

...and that's none of your business, or Nick's.

Actually, when they choose to be a professional athlete, their life does become public. It's part of what they give up in exchange for the opportunity to be wealthy beyond their dreams

Yes, Charles Barkley was a role model, whether he liked it or not

Was really hoping Correa would have better slugging numbers, especially considering he is playing in Lancaster.

I think the losing is getting to The Beard. Dude, we won yesterday and Springer homered. Take a breath.

JJO (@OrtizKicks): Brett Oberholtzer is the odd man out. He's been optioned to OKC

I'm trying to understand the logic here?

I guess Feldman is back and McHugh has earned a spot with his 2 good starts and one so-so one?

But Peacock stays in the rotation, huh? So he went from unfairly passed over for Harrell to being unfairly kept on?

Based on their last few starts, Peacock had been better than Oberholtzer.

Agreed... but Oberholtzer has had more big league success thus far. His last start was ok... and he had two back to back bad ones. The rest were actually very consistent. Prior to the last game, the team had scored all of 8 runs for him in all his starts combined.

But you gotta send somebody down.

Peacock has 17 innings and 13 walks in his past 3 starts. His BABIP is at .240 right now, so if it is fair to assume that there is some bad luck heading his way, the walks will drown him. Not to mention the 1:1 BB/K ratio...

Brett O on the other hand is experiencing .462 BABIP during his past three starts while giving up 4 homers in three games with 28 hits in 14 innings. Yikes. While I recognize this is terrible, he is bound to level out of this slump.

I think we kept the wrong guy.

I assume they are only looking at the past few starts since they kept McHugh up based on 3 starts. :)

Hmmm... these don't sound like very analytical/calculated decisions from the decision-scientists of the front office.

Guess that sort of stuff only applies to the minors and draft? Who knows anymore...

They sent down Obie?! Aw man, I liked him. Does anyone think McHugh is actually going to be a piece? If he strings together a few more solid starts, maybe we can flip him for some minor leaguers...

I think he will regress to his mean given enough starts.

Obie is getting sent down to work on his control, in less leveraged situations in AAA. He will come back when he gets it together.

Weird because he hasn't issued more than 3 walks in a game.
