But apparently none of the other 29 teams feel the same way. Its Brett Wallace all over again... just can't quit him.
Teoscar Hernandez just blasted a 2-run homer (2) to extend his hitting streak to 8 games for Lancaster. They're up 4-0 on Inland Empire in the 1st
Altuve gets caught stealing/picked off an awful lot. He isn't slow, but he isn't that fast either. He gets so many steals by being aggressive. Torreyes quit stealing because he was caught so frequently.
29 Ks in 20.2 innings (12.6 K/9). Beasting. Kyle Smith, Velasquez, McCullers, Appel, and Hauschild are all also striking out more than one an inning in Lancaster. Not a bad formula.
Yep, I think we finally cracked the code on how to succeed in Lancaster, just strike everybody out. We actually have the 3rd lowest ERA in the california league, and allow the fewest hits, which is just mind boggling to anybody who knows the terror stories from the Hangar.
Don't look now, but Andrew Thurman has found a groove as of late. He threw 4 scoreless innings and allowed a hit and struck out 5. Last 3 appearances: 13.1 IP, 9 H, ER, BB, 18 K
