80 pitches in 4 innings. Not exactly efficient. Nibbling too much perhaps? I wanna see him attacking hitters and beating them with his fastball.

Michael Feliz with a very good night after a couple of poor games. He has 8 strikeouts in 6 shutout innings allowing 3 hits and no walks.

I watched the game. Pitched better than his total numbers show.

Even Jaxon Appel would pitch better than Mark in the minors. I predicted after only a few starts in A ball that Mark Appel was a bust. My friend, who wants to be a baseball GM one day, said I was crazy. Well sadly, he was wrong.

This is the most sports internet-ey thing I've read in a long time. Well, outside of the GARM.

It seems the Astros have decided to use David Rollins as a reliever, at least for the moment.

I say this without ever having watched any of these guys pitch, but it seems to me he should be a higher priority as a prospect than the likes of Colton Cain, Brady Rodgers and Mark Hauschild. Not that I think any of them are prospects of any real significance, but Rollins is a lefty, who strikes out more than a batter an inning and has had a 3 to 1 K/BB ratio over the last 2 years. Maybe he does become a reliever, or maybe a loogy, but I would like to see him keep starting, or tandem starting until he fails.

He seems to me to be an extremely likely Rule 5 candidate being a lefty reliever in the high minors, and I personally wouldn't want to lose him.

    Baseball America: AAA Best Tools

Austin Wates was named best baserunner, and Jake Marisnick had the best outfield arm in the PCL.

Marisnick did show off his arm last night on an unnecessary throw to third. Actually, it probably did make the Phillies think twice on taking an extra base on him.

Austin Wates is the best base runner in the PCL? Would never have guessed that.

Who needs Jeter when you can have the future best manager prospect (on a different team)!

Anybody know why Derek Fisher hasn't played in two weeks?
