15 MPH in to be exact LOL Rio Ruiz went deep. Just like last season his numbers have gotten better as the season has gone on, plus his home/road splits are identical which is good to see. Sure would like to see him get some time in CC. And I agree Feliz should skip Lancaster, but the Astros so far have sent everybody there so he's just gonna have to deal with it.
If he gets a little better control and he can be the best pitcher in the Astros system... Majors or minors... His stuff is really good.
Are there really people out there so blinded by their hate of Crane and Lunhow that they don't believe the Astros as a franchise (including minors) are better off than they were a few years ago?
To most fans 75 wins and being liked > 51 wins and being hated, and that is all the casual fan sees. A non contender is a non contender the win total is meaningless, but many aren't that pragmatic
Let's just see how this plays out. When this whole process began I said that baseball is dicey because you can have a great farm system on paper and never win at the big league level. Injuries, poor evaluation, lack of development and poor trades all can destroy what a talent farm system gives a team. The Astros brass have made some PR blunders and honestly come off as arrogant which isn't good when you are the worst team in baseball. However, they have also been very unlucky with the Aiken UCL, computer back and CSN mess. Also a lot of the negativity in the press is from the players union and other big league teams not happy the Astros tanked. It is really simple, if the Astros win you will stop reading about how the team is arrogant, or Mark Appel or any of the other hatchet jobs. If the team continues to lose, then the Astros deserve to be labeled as inept.
He did show wood bat power in the Cape Cod league in 2012 though, 8 hr in 44ab against top competition.
He does have twice as many ABs at home and his away numbers are pretty good. His home stats are just phenomenal, even for Lancaster.
