In terms of spending, overly stacking offensive talent and disregarding the defense, and under-performing.

Wow it had to be Lampard with the equalizer.

    Fair play.

As a Cule, I so wish this was true but idk Madrid started slow/underperforming last year and look how that ended. Having said that, no Xabi No Di Maria gives me hope.

Mangala btw looked really good with Kompany, covered so much more of the pitch than Demichelis would. Milner also has played well all season, Yaya still seems to be off and not making as many runs as he usually does. The man can open up defenses like no other on the team so a little disappointed in him, though against Bayern he looked like he wasn't even on the pitch so a step in the right direction again Chelsea for him I guess.

That team isn't the same defensively. James isn't as good as Di Maria.

Obviously both Real and ManU will get better than their current state, but not to where they will challenge for titles.

That final goal was all on Skrtel. First he didn't properly mark as a threat moved into position behind him. Then he went for some kind of killer tackle instead of working the angles and throwing his body between the ball and the goal. Just terrible defending.

I stand by my belief that Agger was LFC's answer to defense. Breh is a natural leader and doesn't make schitty decisions like Turtle. I lost count on how many times he messed up in key moments for the team.

Not sure how LFC can fix their defense. I don't think Rodgers has the answer, it was never his strong point since he got to Anfield. Maybe it's like the old D'antoni Suns team where they're all offense, and defense being sacrificed.

Why did Agger get transferred again?

Really liked what I saw from Mangala against Chelsea this weekend. I think City may have found the right guy to pair next to Kompany. During the 1st half the ref was giving out yellow cards like it was going out of style. Had a feeling it was going to bite on of the teams in the second half and sure enough it was City and Zabaleta. Down a man City played a good game and did well to salvage a draw. Yaya hasn't been himself this year and it is understandable given the loss of his brother. I wouldn't mind letting him sit a match or two and giving the extra playing time to guys like Milner, Fernando and Navas. This way all the main guys get good playing time early and Yaya has a chance to sort things out and return to his old self.

United's defense is in absolute shambles. Great team going forward and plays no defense.

Now with Evans injured and Blackett suspended, I think the back 4 will be:

    Rafa------Smalling-----Rojo-----Shaw

FOrwardsa re licking their chops looking at those names.

Must be one of those things where a manager/coach just doesn't like the player, I guess. Dude is a beast. The only knock on him is that he's made of glass.

Here's a recent article about why Agger left.

    http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/daniel-agger--not-appreciated-7810505

I'm on Agger's side on this. Rodgers must be playing favors because there isn't one single reason why Skrtle should start when Agger is fully fit. Dude simply sucks. I can't believe there is a good "football" reason to play Skrtle. He's showed us time and time again why he should be sold, even since Kenny Dalglish days.

Right now, LFC needs a good defensive leader and Agger was exactly the right man for that job. Rodgers dropped the ball on this one and now he's eating his stupid decision by us leaking goals left and right.

I may be the minority, but I don't think Agger could do any better then our current CBs,IMO he has just been to hurt and out of fitness, I wouldn't have sold him this season tho, maybe a January move, but he definitely could have been use for competition and for other tournaments.

I read an article today that Hendo and Coutinho could be out from injury, all of a sudden we have no midfield depth at all.

BR is starting to frustrate me, we haven't had a set 11 for a couple games now, and if we do everyone is dead tired, I hope that issue gets resolved as well.

Chelsea knew what they were doing. Costa sure is an irritant.

Sadly, doesn't look like anyone is going to pose much of a threat to them. City are out of sorts with Yaya out of form and only 2 forwards healthy. Liverpool and United can't defend anyone and Arsenal will find a way to Wenger it up I'm sure, even if Khedira is coming.

Comcast 543 beIN Sports. They also show Ligue 1 and Serie A matches. I get it cuz I ordered the Spanish digital pack. Includes Fox Deportes which shows Argentine Primera División and Brasileiro Série A games too.

Best teams so far are Barca and Chelsea. Juventus looks pretty impressive too. I'm sure Bayern will be right there once they get healthy, esp. Robben.

But that's pretty much the competition.

I second beIN.. it's a must for La Liga, Serie A, & Ligue 1. Also great for international matches.

FIFA 15 comes out in a few minutes for East Coast USA.
Liverpool might suck in real life, but I'll lead them to league winner status in FIFA.
