Thiago is obviously a joy to watch, and an incredibly talented player. But he needs a coach that holds him accountable. Pep is not that coach. Pep has set us back so much. Barca is beating us exactly the same way we beat them two years ago. But Pep insists on playing like he played back then, when it was already evident two years ago that the Bayern style from then is superior to his Barca style that he is forcing us to play now. The most annoying thing is that Pep does. not. learn. He insists on moving the last line of defense up all the way to the middle line - against freaking Messi, Suarez, Neymar. No wonder they are past the defense immediately, when the players you have trailing them are people like Alonso. Both CL semi-final exits are 1000000 % on Pep. Even with the injuries, he has had a team with 6 or 7 current world champions as his core, plus Lewandowski, plus Rafinha, plus Alonso, plus Martinez, etc. With that team, you do NOT need to lose like that to Real last year and to Barca this year.
That's not to take away from the individual brilliance of Messi, Neymar, Suarez, Iniesta, etc. They are great players. One can lose to that team. It's just annoying that Pep is such a stubborn idiot who simply doesn't learn. Our team is showing a lot of heart today, anyway. I still think Barca will score at least two more, though.
Anyway, congrats rox1 and REEKO. Can't win everything. I have held the Triple trophies (CL trophy, German championship, German cup in one season) in my hands, as well as the world cup. And I have the pics to prove it. I can't complain .
4 goals in half an hour. Bayern need to win as many set pieces as possible. Could make for a fun 30 minutes for the casual fan.
Didn't know Rode was fit, thought he'd be out for a month. Great job starting Lahm and Alonso instead of the guy who has brought us the most energy in the past months.
True. This team still has the heart of a champion, no matter how hard the coach messes with everything.
This team shows heart despite Pep. Trust me - he is NOT liked by most players (except his favorites).
Someone joked about Pep bringing Götze in at the 90th minute, guess it will come true. You need goals and leave guys like Alonso in, brilliant.
Soooo Barca- Madrid final? Messi vs Cronaldo in the battle for who gets to end the season atop the UCL scoring charts? Or does Juve step in to try to win their first UCL trophy in over 15 years and show the world that Serie A is back(or just that The Old Lady is back not so much Serie A  ) How sweet it would be for Max Allegri to throw a Juve CL appearance(and maybe trophy) at AC Milan, Galliani, etc. What would y'all prefer to see, Barca vs Juve or Barca vs Madrid in the final?
