Who are you talking to? We've watched Parsons from the very beginning. We know EXACTLY what he is as a player and what he isn't. Any conclusions we've made about him are due to watching him for the last 3 years.

I was probably talking to the guy I quoted in my post, and he was making his conclusion in a direct relation to the stats from the Dallas-Boston game, not about Parsons averages during the past 3 years

If we win it all within the next few years, how awesome would it be if Morey sends Cuban a ring to straight up troll him, and presents Parsons with an honorary Finals MVP. Small sample size and what not, but Ariza's defense is going to be a huge difference-maker for us in the playoffs.

i haven't watched much of the dallas games so far this season. but parsons absolutely did not swing the ball or pass off on the break as much as he could/should have last year. it was really pathetic to watch as the season progressed. hopefully now that he's gotten the contract he's not playing like that anymore now.

    Never said Parsons was special.

Yes his size creates mismatches, he is long enough to shoot over 3's and quick enough to cut to the basket against 4's. He also has the size to play the 3 or 4 depending on the line up. Parsons cannot just put the ball on the floor and create well enough. However he is excellent in transition and passing to the next available player. The ball moves with Parsons on the court.

Defensively Parsons was bad to very bad. He had no idea when to switch and when not too. He often times over played his man which allowed easy baskets. Part of the perceived defensive issues with Harden and Jones were because of Parsons helter skelter approach.

Want proof? Look at Parsons last night. At first blush he had a great game until you realize he was mauled defensively.

Back in the late 80's & 90's NBA Teams would be so angry at the disrespect that Parsons showed towards his team. The only player that has come close to how Parsons treated Houston is Scottie Pippen.

Imagine Rick Mahorn, John Salley, Bill Laimbeer or Rodman's greeting for Parsons if he'd disrespected Detroit after leaving?

Otis Thorpe or Mutombo would end his modelling career with an accidentally on purpose elbow, Vernon Maxwell would've made Parsons scared to take it to the rack...heck even Kevin Willis would've slammed him on his backside.

There wouldn't be any hugging or bum slapping, most folks were upset at KG when he turned his back on Ray Allen, but he was just being old school.

I'm not saying he shouldn't have signed a Max Deal, well done...get paid, but there is a right way & a wrong way to do things, & Parsons crossed the line when he started dissing his teammates & then started dissing Houston.

I watch all our old players, & I'm happy for them to succeed, but Parsons can take a long walk off a short pier...into shark infested waters...while holding Cuban's hand.

Prasens got all starry-eyed and just stopped playing defense. He used to be quite effective in his rookie season, thats WHY he got the start over budinger.

Ariza knows his place, and plays the role better. D&3

Well I anticipated Parsons getting a $13-$15 million a year contract and so did others in this forum and that was last year before the trade deadline... And I would LMAO when I would see people saying they would only trade him for LeBron... Lol. I'm not making this up. And if we thought it was a possibility, Morey should have too...

And if we would have gotten Bosh, why pay to keep Parsons...??? That's silly. On this team with Harden in the backcourt _ that's a very replaceable position.

I like Parsons as a player. But you're dead on point. And he didn't know his place in the media either... Ran his mouth too much.

I'm sure Dallas is happy to have him...for now. He is playing well but we know he won't sustain this level of play and I don't think he will ever play defense for them. I'm sure the final, majority opinion of him will depend on how deep Dallas goes in the playoffs and now well he plays.

But in a vacuum, Dallas fans will realize he isn't worth that contract.

He could've thanked the organisation & coach McHale for giving him the opportunity to show his talents.
He could've thanked James Harden & Dwight Howard for giving him so many easy looks at the basket.
He could've thanked the fans for giving him so much support.
He could've gone out with some class but ended leaving like a jackass.

I know he'll have a decent career, (I did wish it was with us), but I hope every time he plays us he lays a big egg...& I wouldn't mind someone putting him on his backside once or twice.

    End Rant...

Or until you ignore the proof debunking that claim that's already in this thread.

My opinion of the dude is that he is just a fame-w****. Theres nothing really wrong with it, but the amount of ****talking he did post script left a bad taste in everyones mouth.

With how Ariza and Papa are playing, Parsons becomes irrelevant pretty quickly. Both play better defense and both know their roles. We won't have to suffer through a Parsons ISO ever again.

Because we had his bird rights, so he would have been the only player we could spend that money on after going over the cap by signing Bosh. If we let Chandler walk, it's not like we would have been able to use that savings on another player.

There is no evidence debunking my claims.
