What's surprising there? Dirk was desperate to get the ball out of Chandler's hand right before he makes that fading 3 I guess he's one of two bad fits for that team

Parsons avg 15.8pts/46.1 FG/39 3pt. That's who Parsons is. He's had basically those numbers every year but his rookie year. 16 points with good percentages, but no FT, and not too much else. He's a good player who is being paid like he is a great player.
Parsons: $14.7million - 58 games, 33 min, 46.1% FG%, 39% 3PT%, 4.8 REB, 2.3 AST, 1.1 STL, 14.5 PPG Curry - $10.6 million - 64 games, 33 min, 48.1% FG%, 42.1% 3PT%, 4.4 REB, 7.8 AST, 2.2 STL, 23.5 PPG Thompson - $3.1 million - 64 games, 33 min, 46.3% FG%, 43.5% 3PT%, 3.2 REB, 2.9 AST, 1.1 STL, 21.9 PPG Irving - $7.5 million - 64 games, 37 min, 47.2% FG%, 41.5% 3PT%, 3.2 REB, 5.2 AST, 1.5 STL, 22.2 PPG The highest paid one among that group has the worst stats and has played the least.
Thompson and Irving are on rookie contracts. We could compare it to the $1MM that Morey had Parsons under contract for, be we'll pretend he didn't mess that up. Ignoring that fact, Thompson's and Irving's contracts are apples to oranges comparisons to Parsons'. Good-to-great players are ALWAYS underpaid in their rookie deals. Straws....you're grasping at them. Curry is, unquestionably, significantly outperforming his pay. Parsons will have a contract that drops from 23% of the cap to 18% of the cap in 2016/17. If Irving and Thompson wind up with contracts that command about the same amount as Parsons, then Parsons will be way overpaid as he isn't as good as those two. If they end up getting much more lucrative deals, then Parsons probably ends up looking closer to a reasonable deal.
It will be far north of $30 next season when Ellis gets his deal. Assuming they pay him to stick around.
dirk is definitely showing age this season. eventually the offense is going to be run through chandler and they definitely missed him while he was hurt
Depends on perspective. If you see it that way, then yes, you are correct. However: 1. It is unfair to Dirk and Monta. They are better players than Parsons. 2. I think there are a lot of players who can fill Parsons' role without the $15M contract. So, Dirk+Ellis+"an $8M player" saves them an extra $7M for another quality role player. 3. I would take Dirk+Monta+Aminu for $17M over Dirk+Monta+Parsons for $30M. I don't really watch a lot of Mavs games, but there are 2 to 3 games I've watched that Aminu played decently. Again, I'm not saying you're wrong. Just depends on perspective.
Parson was very popular by his teamates in Houston, in Dallas not so much.you can tell from the body language He could have better stat if he was given the ball or when unfairly benched because coach C can't do that to Rondo ,Dirk or even Ellis .I guess most part is it due to his contract.
Parsons has found his shot lately. I recalled from one of the DAL broadcasts that the shooting coach in DAL modified his stance so that he is more balanced. (I don't think in HOU we tinker too much with shooting form, am I right? Only reminders are to shoot when open and when balanced.) DAL, I think, has found a way to keep the offense flowing even when playing with Rondo.
lol. carlisle went full angry man on portions.
