Yup, looked like Sanchez got hurt the play before (before his shoulder injury). They reportedly wanted Geno to win the job. They may get their wish (though Geno certainly didn't win it.) They probably should not have put Sanchez out there after Geno. Why not Simms or McElroy?
Rex said that they were trying to win the game. C'mon? In preseason? Yes, you go out there to compete, but the ultimate goal in the preseason isn't to win games. It's to get the players ready and to determine who's going to fill out the roster. After Geno's performance, if you thought the job was Sanchez's, you don't throw your starting QB out there in the 4th quarter of a meaningless preseason game with 2's and 3's.
Is it just me or have the preseason games been more competitive and interesting than usual. Green Bay and Seattle were knocking the stuffing out of each other last night.
I honestly haven't much watched a lot of preseason games. In fact, I barely even watched some of the Texans games. Seen quarters here and there. Highly unusual of me.
Commentators said the fans were pumped because of the infamous Fail Mary last season. Packers were determined to take that W for their fans and Seahawks wanted to stand their ground so it became competitive.
Fixed. As a Jets fan, I know it will be a long year. It wouldn't be as bad if the media reported fairly though..
Keven Kolb's concussion is "very serious" and may be career-ending. They signed Matt Leinart. http://espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp...vin-kolb-buffalo-bills-concussion-source-says
There are so many exciting storylines and good football information to be sharing with fans and instead I'm getting jammed up with Jets talk. Thanks for forcing another manufactured story up my butt ESPN.
Ahh, love the Bills luck. Suck on that you bastards. Signed, An Oilers Fan before the Tennessee Titans bull****
It was going to be regardless of who was playing qb for them. They're going to suck and it will be a joy to hear about...mostly because we'll hear about it whether we like it or not.
The fact that Jeff Tuel is going to be their week 1 starter is getting a lot of attention today, but I don't think it's that big of a deal. Unless he comes out and looks like Tom Brady in the opener, that's going to be E.J. Manuel's team once he returns. This is a stopgap measure because the more talented quarterbacks on the roster are hurt. With that being said, I found it pretty funny that when SportsCenter was doing one of those "BioBlast" profiles on Tuel, the only good things they could say about him were "4-year starter at Washington State" and "holds WSU all-time record for completion percentage."
