McGary is smart enough to hit the open man if they do (4 assists). Besides some of the ridiculous 3-point shots they've hit, he's been the key to the first half for Michigan. Last week, Marquette's Davante Gardner had the same exact opportunities as McGary, but he was far too passive shooting and passing the ball. Carter-Williams has to bring his "A" game in the 2nd half or Syracuse may not have enough offense to come back. If Trey Burke decides to take over, it won't matter anyway. Michigan is the perfect team to beat this sticky amoeba defense. I am sooooo glad they beat Kansas last week. KU wouldn't have a chance against this zone.
I meant 1-man pressure him just to not make it easy to pass from there. Not double team and give him open passing lanes
just can't stand college charge calls He was sliding over while the dude is taking off. That **** cannot happen. And the announcers love it
Great call Boeheim! Down by 3, lets drive to the basket with our worst player and launch up a contested layup with 5 seconds left! Works every time!!
After watching tonight's game and finally seeing 'Cuse exit the tourney. I feel this is appropriate(lifted from Bomani Jones' site)
The only thing I hate more than the amount of timeouts in College Basketball is the *&%$@#ing POSSESSION ARROW! WTH??? Ugh, I think I hate that more than ANYTHING else in ALL sports.
Michael Carter-Williams really let his team down today. He was terrible. An average game from him and Syracuse wins by 5-10 points. If Russ Smith returns to form Monday, Michigan doesn't have a chance. I like both teams.
totally agree on both. Michigan needs Burke + Hardaway + Stouskas to all be on together. Which I don't think has happened yet
I like it better than terrible jumpballs. Every single jumpball is stolen or isn't straight up (or both). I'd rather have an arrow than a jumpball that's BS
I just don't understand what a possession arrow is. If the Wichita St. player was allowed to jump for it, the game result might have turned out differently. Instead, the Cardinals player got a hand on it, and it became Louisville ball. Wut? That's not fair at all, to the Wichita St. player. He did all the work of getting the rebound. And okay, the Cardinals player got his hand on it. That's fine. Jump it up? Nope. Apparently, you don't have to do any work except reach out and grab the ball for your team to get it back. Wut?
Well, Louisville was for sure watching this game. The zone defense shut down Burke pretty hard, but McGary had his way. If it gets into a close game though, McGary is such a liability, due to his inability to make FTs.
Skip Bayless finally said something I agreed with. The Wichita St/Louisville game changed when Ron Baker passed up an open 3 and gave it to the big man who just airballed a ft on the previous possession. 3 would have put them up 12. That isn't the only reason but Louisville went on a run after that and didn't look back

Amazing performance by Spike! What is Michigan going to do start the Half when Burke's foul situation is no longer an issue?
