We really needed the win tonight to create a little buffer between us and the 4th spot. We may have to win against New York now to stay in 3rd.
It's great that the Dynamo-Red Bulls game is a sellout and they even did it when they are going to play the same time as the Texans-Chiefs NFL game is on.

Sunday's match vs. New York is SOLD OUT! Disgraceful loss today. I know it wasn't a loss to a terrible team and that the NYRB are flying high right now in the run up to the playoffs but a loss like that should not happen with the playoffs around the corner, positioning still in the mix and when playing at home. Bad loss.
Even worse...it cost me a pitcher of beer. I have an ongoing bet with a friend from Washington. Overall record for Seahawks vs Texans (loss in the head to head & likely loss on season record), Mariners vs. Astros (lost on season record), and now Sounders vs Dynamo (loss on points).
Tell him you want to bet on Basketball and then laugh in his face. That'll bring him down a peg or 2.
Tried in the past. Even gave him the opportunity to go Thunder vs Rockets. He wasn't even going to take the bet had the Kings moved to Seattle.
The front office of the Dynamo should be blamed for scheduling an MLS game and college football on the same weekend. You can't do that. That's why the Texans and UH Cougars avoid playing their games at Reliant on the same weekend.
Here are the playoff scenarios for the Dynamo http://www.houstondynamo.com/blog/post/2013/10/21/standings-watch-what-dynamo-need-final-weekend
Good results so far, Montreal lost to Toronto and Philadelphia is eliminated from playoff contention. Of course, the Dynamo need to win to get in the postseason and also a loss/tie from Chicago and New England to get the 3rd seed and avoid playing the #4/#5 Wild Card game.
So win an they are in, as long as yet can secure a spot some how, I have faith that they can make a run
WE'RE IN!!! Dynamo win 2-1 over DC United. They are currently the 3rd seed depending on what happens in the games between NY Red Bulls-Chicago Fire and New England-Columbus.
New England won as well, so it looks like we'll be in the 4/5 game (again) with Chicago (again). Go Dynamo!
