Very easy to move from stage to stage at FPSF, other festivals are a little harder to move around. I definitely don't recommend sitting at one stage the whole time unless that stages contains all the people you want to see.

Just downloaded a FPSF app on my droid yesterday. Comes with a site map on it for those of you looking at stage locations. Only thing I've found a map on so far. Makes organizing the event much easier.

Definitely wander around. It's a great way to hear new music you never knew you'd be interested in. It's also far better for people-watching/shopping/beer drinking purposes.

Highly doubt the app works when you are there. It's damn near impossible to send a text, much less anything else.

No clue if it will but at least for now you can take a look at where the maps are and how much stage switching you'll need to do. My friends and I brought walkie talkies to Hangoutfest in Gulf Shores and they worked wonders. Almost never used my phone out there.

Aite, it's time to compare personal schedules. WHO YA GOT?

    Saturday:
    G.Wizz
    The Beans
    Chase Hamblin & The Roustabouts
    Buxton
    Midnight Norma Lane
    The Niceguys
Paul Wall/Japandroids (haven't decided yet, leaning towards Japandroids)
    Paul Banks
Geto Boys (hopefully I can make it over to see Alabama Shakes close with "Hold On")
    Arctic Monkeys
    Wheeler Brothers/Action Bronson
    Passion Pit
    The Postal Service

    Sunday:
    Disco Daddies
    The Suffers
    Showers
Doughbeezy (might rethink this, as I saw him a week ago and he wasn't that great)
    Uzoy
    Dawes
    DJ Sun
    Kopecky Family Band
Cat Power/Super Mash Bros (haven't decided yet)
    Matt & Kim
    Of Monsters and Men
    Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
    TV on the Radio
    The Octopus Project
    Bassnectar

There's a lot of 10-15 min overlap, so I'm sure I won't make all of these, but this is a rough outline of my day.

Anyone I'm not seeing I need to? Anyone I'm seeing that blows and should be avoided?

Holy crap. You've got your days all planned out.

    This is all I've got:

    Saturday
    Geto Boys
    Devin the Dude
    Action Bronson
    Iggy and the Stooges

    Sunday
    Kashmere Stage Band
    DJ SUN
    Milo Greene

I'm just gonna be wandering around to fill the rest of my time.

So far all I really have is:

    Sat
    Alabama Shakes
    Arctic Monkeys
    Passion Pit
    Calvin Harris

    Sun
    Matt and Kim
    Of Monsters and Men
    TV on the Radio
    <br>
Sunday's closing line-up is pretty terrible. I really have no interest in seeing either Social Distortion or Bassnectar. I wish they would have done Social Distortion on Saturday and Postal Service on Sunday so that I could actually see Postal Service. Im not missing out on Calvin though.

    [shamelessselfpromotion]

If y'all are looking to warm your dancing legs up for the weekend head to Last Concert Cafe tonight at 8:30.

My new band, Space City Shakedown, is opening for a Grateful Dead cover band (Forgotten Space).

We'll play till around 10, then it's two full sets of Dead music.

I'm the guy with the curly head, come say 'anyong'.

Since a lot of you guys have a gap between Geto Boys/Alabama Shakes and Arctic Monkeys, I sound like a broken record but again I suggest Hello Chief. They end 20 minutes before the Arctic Monkeys start AND play on the stage next to them, so plenty of time to get over there. You won't regret it. I rep them so much because I think they are ridiculously good and I'd love for more people to hear them. I suggest giving this a listen if you need convincing- http://hellochief.bandcamp.com/album/live-at-victoria-house

    But anyways here's my schedule
    Saturday
Deep Cuts>Jandek>Japandroids>Geto Boys or Quad City DJs>Hello Chief>Arctic Monkeys>Iggy and the Stooges>Postal Service

    Sunday
    Black Congress>Ume>Baroness>The Bronx>Matt and Kim>The Men>TV On the Radio>Gogol Bordello>Social Distortion

I will have a trunk cooler in a nearby parking lot with 2 cases of Miller Highlife for my Clutchfans brethren though. Hit me up!

I kind of agree that its not very good. I don't care about Bassnectar and barely care about Social D, though I'm probably going with Social D.

Though I don't really care at all about Calvin Harris either. I actually with Iggy was closing out one of the two nights and The Postal Service closing the other. That'd be perfect for me

Did you guys play at Dean's a couple of weeks back? I really enjoyed the show. Are you the guitarist?
