As Baylor fan, who do I root for in that matchup? I want both to be as highly ranked as possible when we play them.
Mediocre Tech team will lose to a medicore OU team and magically OU will skyrocket near the top 10. Hate it.
Well if you're a Baylor fan I say you have to root for Tech. You want them as high as possible. As an Auburn fan, though...I think Tech is vastly overrated and am hoping they fall off so we can rise into the Top 10.
I think you're right. If Tech could pull off an upset, they'd be a top 10 team most likely. If Baylor handles business against them, OU and Ok State, that would work out pretty well. So wreck 'em Tech...for this week anyway.
Tech is bad man. Future might be bright, but right now they suck. Not covering against ISU was their best game of the year so far.
I love how people are pointing out Tech is overrated, given the fact that some experts predicted them to finish 8th in their own conference. I don't think Tech is a top ten team but all they can do is beat the opponents they have been put up against thus far. Tech is on their second string freshmen quarterback and is still pulling off wins, I'm excited for their future, given Kingsbury didn't even get time to bring his own players once Tubberville left after recruitment.
I wouldn't argue that they are overrated, but I do believe that OU's pass defense is one of the strongest in the Big 12. If Oklahoma can slow down Tech's pass offense, then I do believe OU will come out on top. Blake Bell would not need to put up high numbers and would only need to manage the game, a la Case McCoy.
Saban not happy with the fans... http://espn.go.com/college-football...ma-crimson-tide-punish-students-leaving-early Nick Saban criticizes Bama fans Alabama suspended the block seating privileges of 20 student organizations on Friday, a day after coach Nick Saban criticized fans for leaving early during games. "My sense of it is, I always say the fans are a part of the team," Saban said, according to the Anniston Star. "Everybody else should have the same sort of commitment. You don't have to do the work all week, you don't have to practice, you don't have to come in at 7 in the morning and leave at 11 at night, you don't have to do any of that stuff. "All you have to do is come to the game, drink beer, do whatever you want, party in the parking lot. I've never been at a tailgate in my life. All I'm asking is that you just come and have fun and stay for the whole game." The block seating usually reserved for fraternities and other groups will be dissolved for Saturday's game against Tennessee, and any student will be allowed to sit anywhere in the student section. The university's guidelines for the block seating lists "excessive tardiness or early departure from the stadium" as "unacceptable behavior," according to the Birmingham News. The handbook also says an organization's second offense would result in the loss of block seating for the rest of the seasons, and organizations would be banned from sitting together after a third offense, the News reported. The school did not reveal the names of the suspended organizations.
Wow, that's awesome. Screw frat's for leaving earlier. I like how it's actually in the guidelines, too. The Rockets Red Rowdies can't miss more than 3 games or they lose privileges, too.
The games get boring really quickly. Seriously, who wants to stay and watch our 6th stringers play? It's 45-0 going into the 4th quarter and the starters were pulled in the 1st half. Personally, Id rather be tailgating and drinking.
I think it's silly to criticize the random regular fan, but the student groups who get priority seating? If they aren't staying, I don't see a reason they should get seats reserved for them.
