Well at least Bama is guaranteed a BCS Bowl game. I just hope it's not against one of the BCS Buster teams.

    Let's go Blue Devils/Spartans!

If by some miracle FSU, Mizzou, and Ohio State lose, we'll be having an Iron Bowl rematch for the National Championship!:eek::eek:

You'd probably get Oklahoma State, USC Gamecocks or Baylor.

South Carolina can't be in a BCS game - SEC Champ and Alabama would fill the SEC limit. Baylor/OSU are good options. Big10 loser also might be a good option as well.

The rest of the country would love that haha. Sadly, it looks like the SEC BCS National Championship run is over. Also, if Auburn somehow makes it I could never root for them, Tennessee or LSU.

Yeah I saw three different projections: Fiesta vs Baylor, Sugar vs Northern Illinois(Yuck), Orange vs Clemson.

I would like to play Oklahoma State or Baylor because I saw Bama play Clemson in the Chick Fil A kick off game a few years ago.

I understand completely haha. But there is a very real chance of Michigan State beating Ohio State and Auburn/Mizzou sneaking into the title game. Some even think a 1 loss Auburn team could jump an undefeated Ohio State, but I don't think that's going to happen.

Three questions and a follow up. In your opinion:

Who was Alabama's most hated rival:

    1. Back in Phillip Fulmer's days?

    2. Five years ago?

    3. Right now?

Who's #2? Does your personal opinion match the consensus of Alabama fans?

    FSU would destroy Bama

SEC is hiding this year, they know about the legend of Winston, they would rather their 7 year streak get snapped by not appearing in the game, than losing in the title game... Auburn should be closer to Blowohio State in the computers

Yeah but the only way would be if Ohio state loses which is a strong possibility. It'd be pretty bad to let a one loss team at this point pass Ohio State. Think if the playoffs started this year: Bama vs FSU and Auburn vs Ohio State. That would be awesome.

    1. I can't really speak for #1 because I wasn't a fan then(don't call me a bandwagoner because I'm part of the 10%. AKA the percentage of Bama fans who actually went and graduated from there.) I graduated from high school in 08 and went to Bama and honestly I knew nothing about the program. All I knew was that we had a new coach in his second year by the name of Nick Saban and we were a quarter away from a national championship but blew it to Tim Tebow and got stuck playing Utah. No disrespect to Utah and their program but it's "Hey we're about to go the national championship but instead we get to go play Utah in the Sugar" How could you be happy about that?

2: It'll have to be LSU. I honestly hate them and their fan base the most. The whole Saban use to coach there, Game of the century, BCS National Championship etc. They have been the most competitive games since I went to school but everyone still has the "Game of the Century" stuck in their heads. Florida is up there as well because we played them 4 years in a row (back to back in 08/09 during the SEC Championships and then 10/11 in the regular season.

    3. Today? After losing like that?! Honestly, I think it really depends on where you're from. If you're from Alabama and go to Alabama then Auburn is your most hated. It's worse than what Texas and Texas A&M was. However, I think most of the out of state students liked myself hated LSU the most. I've never been able to go to an iron bowl because I always went home for Thanksgiving break but half of the games have been really close and great games while the other half haven't been close at all. Meanwhile, the LSU games are classics each year.

Oh yeah I mean I completely agree. I don't think a 1 loss Auburn should pass an undefeated Ohio State, but there are those who have said it could happen, so the possibility is out there.

And oh man that would be pretty epic. You'd have the National Championship people thought they were going to see on one side with Bama and FSU, and you'd have the controversial "who should be #2?" between Auburn and Ohio State. Great storylines. I can't wait for the playoff next year.

Congrats, J Sizzle. I won't say good luck, but I think you know why. :) You going to Atlanta? Should be a fantastic game... I'll be in section 346!

Yes sir! Section 230! Should be a really fun game. Best of luck to y'all.

I haven't seen too much of y'all. I've just watched the South Carolina and Texas A&M games, and I know South Carolina wasn't y'alls normal level of play.

One thing I am sure of, though, is that I am straight up terrified of Dorial Green Beckham and L'damian Washington. Our pass defense is the weakest part of our team, and those dudes are straight up studs. Throw in James Franklin and we have our work cut out for us!

Yeah, Mauk just doesn't have the efficiency. He has big-play ability, and might be really good in a year... but there's just too many inaccurate throws on short and mid-range routes (the backbone of Mizzou's offense), and those lead to excessive 3-and-outs. That's what ultimately cost us in the South Carolina game. People talk about the missed FG, and the 4th and 15... but honestly, we were pretty lucky to be up 17-0 in the first place (SC fumbles at our 20 and our 2, then a 96-yard MU touchdown) and it eventually caught up with us. Franklin isn't perfect, and he came out a little jittery in the opening quarter of the A&M game... but in the end, he's a lot better at keeping drives going. And that's really the essence of MU's offense... just methodically wearing teams down with the offensive line and the power run before attacking over the top.

Key thing for Mizzou is going to be those first 15 to 20 minutes. Auburn's had a nice dose of the big stage the last two weeks, and against A&M, we looked a bit overwhelmed by the moment at the outset (though part of it may have been playing at home). Mizzou definitely has a lot of advantages, but we've got to be ready to play 60 this week. Sorry for stealing your pun, NFL. :)

Alabama Fan Charged With Murder Of Fellow Fan After Loss To Auburn

Adrian Laroze Briskey is charged with the murder of Michelle Shephard following Alabama's stunning loss to Auburn in Saturday's Iron Bowl. It's unclear what exactly happened, but according to the victim's sister, Briskey murdered Shephard because she was not sad enough about the loss.

Hoover Police Chief Nick Derzis said Shepherd and Briskey, both Alabama fans, got into an argument shortly after the game ended. The argument started inside the apartment, and spilled over into the parking lot. Derzis said the argument turned physical and both women ended up on the ground.

Briskey pulled a small caliber handgun and shot the other. Derzis said the two women didn't know each other. He said police have not yet confirmed what started the fight.

Shephard's sister, Neketa, gives a completely different account. She said Briskey got angry when the two were joking about the Miami Heat instead of being upset about the loss to Auburn.

She said Briskey was drunk and belligerent and her friends took her outside to take her home. Since the game had ended and a card game was about to begin, the Shepherd sisters decided to head home. She said neither she nor her sister drink.

Briskey was still outside, and was still angry. "She was saying she was going to beat us up,'' Neketa Shepherd said. "Somebody was saying, 'they don't care about Alabama.'''

They got into their car to leave, but were blocked by people standing in the parking lot. Neketa Shepherd said they were concerned about hitting someone, so she and her sister got out of the car and asked them to move out of the way. They talked to some friends, and the next thing they knew, gunfire rang out. Neketa Shepherd said she heard five shots. "She was like 10 feet away. My sister never touched her, and she never touched my sister,'' she said. "They never had words."

Derzis says he supports the police account, although Hoover Police Captain Jim Coker told the Associated Press the not-sad-enough claim is being investigated. Briskey is awaiting transfer to county jail, with bond set at $75,000.

So USC was turned down by Sumiln and Del Rio (allegedly) and went with a .500 coach. Damn!

Getting real pissed off that the media is basically acting like Auburn has already beaten Mizzou. Perfect way to take their focus off the SEC Championship and to fire up Mizzou even more.

And it's possible Auburn players suffer a letdown after such a dramatic Iron Bowl. Human nature.
