More than half our starting defense sat and you are drawing conclusions about the defense from this game. lol
Rice had key players suspended as well -- including their best defensive player (Gaines) bottom line is Rice put up 500 yards vs. A&M -- good luck vs. Bama, boys hope Johnny Massengill can take their trolling - because it might be a little more intense than Rice's.....*snort*
It took the refs a minute or two to realize you can't do a 10-second runoff against the offense after an incomplete pass. Pure unadulterated incompetence.
A lot of 'upsets' for week one. Eastern Illinois beating San Diego State Eastern Washington over Oregon State McNeese State over USF Northern Iowa over Iowa State Towson over Connecticut North Dakota State over Kansas State And near upset - West Virginia barely beats Williams & Mary Wanna get away Bob Stoops?
Clemson's no joke. And that entrance... got damn. Best I've ever seen. Gave me the chills. All in all, classic top-10 war, electric atmosphere, Heisman-caliber show from Boyd, and a typical Murray choke-job. That game certainly lived up to its billing.
Don't understand why Georgia didn't give Gurley more touches. Oh and Frank Beamer should have never turned Logan Thomas from a Tight End to a Quarterback. He is terrible I'll be glad when the Thomas era is over at Va Tech smfh
He definitely showed promise his first year at QB, but regressed last year and seems to be following the same trend, albeit against the nations top D.
Eat 'em up, Cats!! Please tell me we start next season on the road against a C-USA team. I have a co-worker who went to USM and she decorated my door with their logo/etc., so need to find a way to get her back.
No doubt. Don't want to get ahead of myself, but I'd say we are going to be the ones challenging the Oklahoma's for the Big 12 title. It's clear they are deeper than ever on both sides of the ball. Especially with most outsiders expecting to see the same old Baylor defense.
Fully agreed, and Kansas St veritably removed themselves from the list of potential quality wins before OU. But, I'm fairly confident that the offense will be as powerful as ever, and the defense will look more like it did during the last 5 games of 2012 through the season.
