Ok I'm done. He is obviously trash and hopefully we can get a C level prospect for him but doubtful, probably just cut him.

I really am done arguing about Bud though, we will have to wait two days and see what Luhnows thoughts are on him and if other gm's think he has any value or is not worth anything to them.

Damn I was giving Bud a feebie on that one. Haha

Take Seattle out and it's a 7.07 ERA. Ouch!

It's not an all-star or suck comparison. It's realizing who you really have on your hands. He may be a good reliever on a good team but he's at a sell high point in my opinion. I don't think he gets any better than this at his age, again my opinion.

Seattle isn't a playoff team, Tampa bay is a playoff team and That's where you got the 1 run in 7 innings from.

Anyone else surprised its been totally quiet on the Bedard front? He obviously isn't a top arm but would have thought he would at least be garnering a little interest

Is kind of surprising, ..I expect him to be traded though. no benefit in keeping him unlike Norris

Just because it's quiet doesn't mean nothing's going on behind the scenes. :p

In all seriousness, maybe these teams are waiting on the big arms to see if they're truly off the market or not(or the price). Also, maybe they're asking is Bedard(or Norris or whoever) better than what we already have available to us?

Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Oakland, St. Louis, Texas - most seem to be going for the big name (in Texas' case, they did get their guy). I could see Baltimore possibly being interested in Norris and/or Bedard. But no time for speculation. People want rumors!

Baltimore was reportedly interested. Wasn't a ton out there on Veras either. Everyone is too focused on Bud.

maybe Baltimore becomes more interested if he pitches well against them.

    Dylan Bundy?!?!

I know he had Tommy John but I would love to have him for Bud Norris.

Hard to imagine pulling that one off. Would be stupid on Baltimore's part, but I'd love to have Bundy. That is like getting another 1-1 pick. I'd give them Bedard & Norris for Bundy.

unlikely, but it might be more realistic than one would think. maybe if we added in a prospect to go along with bud or something.

waiting a year on bundy to start pitching again surely would not be a problem for this team.

I'm curious how often that happens in deals.
