yep, that's the problem. essentially, i'd have to add Paul Pierce + Gortat, but then i'd want a young star on a cheap contract for losing Pierce, and neither you or Maloe have one
Why are people so upset about my trade with bluff? The talent is comparable, and wasn't that bad at all... Deron and ibaka are both mid to late second rd picks no different than offering me horford, who was a mid third, for ibaka... Afflalo and the last pick for Kevin Martin and Kyle Lowry is also comparable in talent and draft position... I feel the outrage comes from dfb wanting dwill, the hate for ibaka, and bluffs lack of cap conscience... An ibaka/dwight FC is nothing to shake a stick it...
you can't use "normal" picks on amnestied players by the way, or at least that's how we used to do in previous drafts. So lets say bluffkin is planning to cut Kevin Martin, you can't use a normal pick on him and have Kevin Martin drafted in both 7 and 8 rounds. we used to wait last summer. but it's quite pointless and it slows everything down. it's boring enough to wait for 2 hours. but if you have to wait indefitely for someone to wake up at the end of the draft, and you can't even trade/amnesty, it's a bummer.

hehe. this reminds me of the last draft, when i was considering trading DWill for Holiday to save some money. Holiday was a cheap fresh All Star at the time, before his recent terrible play, and an early 2nd pick. DWill was a later pick. Guess who was on the frontlines of complaining how it was an unreasonable trade? BigMaloe. But I get it. Trading a borderline superstar at the end of the draft for a borderline All Star to save money is a bummer, regardless of draft position. It seems that your opinion about that depends if you benefit from the trade or not... look, if we thought it was veto worthy, we'd veto it. we didn't, so whatever. but we don't have to be happy about it. it is borderline veto worthy. D-Will is clearly a much better player, and if bluffkin didn't screw himself by picking Nash, he'd never do a D-Will for Ibaka trade. His team is clearly worse now, your team is clearly better and the draft favorite.
