Don't waste your time. That chump doesn't back up his statements with bets.

These are just fun donation bets. Everyone is just risk averse, but I probably would have had takers if the Rockets lost tonight. I still would have been confident.

Clippy, we should be comparing a team with home court to a lottery team.

Nah, i think a better comparison would be an 8th seeded playoff team to a lottery team. That playoff team was led by one of the best offensive players in the league who had an amazing season. Much better than gorans season.

Sup Kim, thats not what I meant actually. HCA is not the most important thing imo, it is the demeanor of the team going in when there are 2 games left. I couldn't think of a worse time for the team to be slumping like it is tbh. I would rather have this team gelling and ready at the 5th spot without HCA, than having HCA while sustaining the play we have seen as of late. The team in 09' didn't have HCA, but was clicking on all cylinders despite that end of season loss that plummeted us from the 2nd seed to the 5th. I never had a doubt in my mind though, and first thing we do is go to the rose garden and b**** slap the blazers. Hopefully what we saw tonight was a result of Parsons being out. If the team plays well vs SA, it will deff. restore my optimism.

Los it's a good chance Pop will rest his starters but his reserves will be ready to play.

To be fair, the Lakers scored 40 of their 130 in the 4th quarter when we had our scrubs in there. And I'm not sure I'd say that they Rockets were playing great defense over the course of the season when Sampson was here.

I agree. The SA game would be a good metric to see how our intensity and focus looks like regardless of their lineup. A win would be nice but prefer that we see a a huge effort on our defensive intensity.

Normally agree but we've lost 9 out of the last 10 away games. We need hca.

I prefer GS to beat Portland tonight and the Rox to cruise in the last 2 games.

That's not accurate. We lost 7 out of the last 10 away games, not 9.

However, we were 19-3 at home in 2014. So no matter what the Rox will have series determining advantage to have HCA against the Blazers.

We need another win in the last two of the regular season in any way barring an injury.

Except I'd just as soon Portland didn't fall out of the 5th spot and have us playing GS instead. Portland just seems easier.

PDX has a game against the Clippers next who are most assuredly going to rest their guys. Very unlikely that Portland drops their last 2.

The Rockets should not be worried about either of those teams - they should beat them both.

Just handle your own business and let the chips fall where they may.

Portland has the second worst defense among WC playoff teams while GS has the best D rating. That's why we seem to have a better grip on beating Portland.

Wow really? I think I prefer playoff curry against the clippers also.

    Bring on Portland

Clippers will probably rest, unless they're 1 up on Miami (bc Miami has the tie breaker). Miami losing to Atlanta had a big impact on that scenario.

Doubt LAC declines the option to give their guys valuable rest time for a hypothetical scenario where Miami and them win their conferences. I could be wrong though.

HUH have we not beaten the Warriors the same amount of times as Portland.

1st game against the Warriors 105-83
2nd game against the Warriors 116-112
3rd game against the Warriors 99-102 lost in O/T

1st game against the Blazers 116-101
2nd game against the Blazers 104-111 lost
3rd game against the Blazers 123-113
4th game against the Blazers 118-113 in O/T

The Warriors are not much better defensively against us. We have no problem scoring against them either and can beat them in a 7 game series.

Fwiw between the three of us in HOU/PDX/GSW they all have the worst coaching staffs in the western playoffs, so at least we have that going for us in round 1.
