Just thought I would quote these two exchanges after yesterday's match: I recommend watching goal 1, 2 and 3. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/lt3_YS1yy1Q" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
By the way, English "sports journalist" Simon Mullock (https://twitter.com/MullockSMirror) predicted before the match that Manchester City would destroy, steamroll and outrun Bayern Munich: http://translate.google.com/transla...-mancity-wird-bayern-ueberrollen-3140662.html What an "expert"...
Come on, people get predictions wrong all the time! Quite a bold one to make, though. I guess he was wanting to stand out or something - doesn't seem too realistic to me. But yes, totally agree about Hart. He's made some serious errors this year. Even last year he looked very iffy. He had a quick rise to the top and was looking solid, but I think English fans gave him too much praise based on the promise. England used to always produce incredible keepers, so I suppose they were really looking for another one. Hart still has decent tools, so not all hope is lost. I expect him to be dropped soon though. Worrying times for England.
When I made those comments about Hart, it was coming off of his fantastic season in 11-12 when City won the Premier League and Hart was great in net all year. Since that time his play has fallen off but he is still Englansd's #1 and a top goalie internationally to boot.
I can't remember even one English keeper ever that I would even place closely in the class of a Dutch or German or Italian national team keeper. On the contrary, I think their keepers have always been the laughingstock of international football.
Just came across this and found it quite amusing: <iframe src="//player.vimeo.com/video/76215979" width="500" height="281" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe> <p><a href="http://vimeo.com/76215979">City - Bayern - Benny Hill</a> from <a href="http://vimeo.com/user21554159">Hans Müller</a> on <a href="https://vimeo.com">Vimeo</a>.</p>
I noticed that the vimeo video no longer exists. Found it on Youtube, though. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/z6Q6MQi3F5g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Worth watching .
I can't get over how Chelsea is favored over Schalke in Gelsenkirchen. Did someone for Schalke get hurt?
I'm no soccer expert but every time I watch Barca, Macherano is crapping the bed. Why didn't they fix that over the summer? Or am I missing something?
So you're saying we need a center back? No way!! Sarcasm aside the market for CBs this summer was rediculous. 50 million for David Luis? No thanks.
Huntelaar, Papadopoulos, Farfan, Höger... Boateng has a minor injury as well, but he's playing at least. I'm not impressed with Chelsea at all, they are not going to be a threat this year.
Dont know why Arsne plays Wilshere so much. He gives away the ball cheaply. His passes are usually off the mark. Arsenal looked much better once Cazorla came in for Wilshere.
