I like number 6 the best: 6. At 82 years old, Clint is still able to b**** slap B Kardashian and Joe Bidenopoulos in the same evening.
If Romney hadn't flip flopped his way to the Republican nomination, but instead ran like this for the 2016 Democrat nomination, would you vote for him?
The irony of conservatives calling our president a Kardashian when Eastwood is the one who has family members with their own e! reality show is priceless. And typical.
just look at Obama's tweet at 12:30 in the morning after it happened (the occupied chair) -- he felt the need to respond to try to stop the bleeding
the Clint speech was a hysterical disaster for Mitt. It underminded Mitt Romney and made you guys look like crazies. The whole convention was full of so much distortions, lies, and hyperbole that it just handed Obama the presidency. It might go down in history as the worst convention ever. And somehow you think it got under Obama's and dem's skins? Are you in a different reality??? Dude, that was the worst case scenario for the GOP.
I just watched it for the first time, and my overwhelming impression is just sadness. The speech reminds me of Charlton Heston, cruelly interviewed by Mike Moore in Bowling for Columbine (I think that's the movie.) Dude was not in his right sense, but Moore was scoring political points with him. And Clint didn't seem to be fully in his right mind. The other sad part is that he IS, overwhelmingly, the GOP base voter demographic, on display. And a lot of these people, with the help of the GOP 24-hr promotional network, have truly about as much knowledge about the president and his policies as they would have for some random chair, which is to say almost none. They also, starting in about September of 2008, had as much respect for Obama as they do for an empty chair. That's perhaps the saddest part of the whole bizarro Eastwood performance. Wish I had skipped it. Poor guy, poor country.
The one thing that really annoyed me from Mitt's speech was the ridiculous lie about wanting the President to succeed because he wants America to succeed. I don't know how he said that with a straight face, and I'm pretty sure you can almost see him laugh right after he says it. Luckily, there was a Friday night ep of the Daily Show: Mitt: "I wish President Obama had succeeded because I want America to succeed." Stewart: "BULLFU**ING*****!" <object width="512" height="288"><param name="movie" value="http://www.hulu.com/embed/k517be2tgdpj27bnirnlng"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.hulu.com/embed/k517be2tgdpj27bnirnlng" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="512" height="288" allowFullScreen="true"></embed></object>
No, he sets off my egotistical scum bucket detector on sight. I don't think there is anything genuine about him.
Paul Ryan seems to be one of those natural liars that lies just for the sake of it, rather than with any purpose: http://www.hughhewitt.com/blog/g/3229320e-2c55-4122-93f1-2ebe4fbc8663 HH: Are you still running? PR: Yeah, I hurt a disc in my back, so I don’t run marathons anymore. I just run ten miles or yes. HH: But you did run marathons at some point? PR: Yeah, but I can’t do it anymore, because my back is just not that great. HH: I’ve just gotta ask, what’s your personal best? PR: Under three, high twos. I had a two hour and fifty-something. HH: Holy smokes. All right, now you go down to Miami University… PR: I was fast when I was younger, yeah. Runner's World is suspicious: http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entry/runners-world-we-cant-verify-paul-ryans-sub Runners World magazine is looking into Paul Ryan's claim that he ran a marathon in less than three hours. "Runner's World has been unable to find any marathon results by Ryan," Scott Douglas wrote Friday. "Requests for more information from Ryan's Washington and Wisconsin offices, and from the Romney-Paul campaign, have so far gone unanswered." Not so much: http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entry/paul-ryan-backtracks-on-sub-3-hour-marathon “The race was more than 20 years ago, but my brother Tobin—who ran Boston last year—reminds me that he is the owner of the fastest marathon in the family and has never himself ran a sub-three. If I were to do any rounding, it would certainly be to four hours, not three. He gave me a good ribbing over this at dinner tonight.”
These guys have stated as much and proven over and over they will say anything to win, it's standard practice in the Rove playbook. Creating the narrative means redefining truth.
Ok so this democrat is torn between parties right now. I can not see myself voting for Obama again, just can't. My company I own has seen some of it's roughest years since Obama has been president(been in business since I was 18 years old, 28 now). Have had this company in 3 different states including where I live now Houston(other two states were Louisiana,Mississippi). How do I figure out what Obama's and Romney's true stances on small business actually are. Both talk out the side of their mouth when it comes to this. I'm willing to jump the fence for this election and endorse a republican candidate, but want to make sure it's in the best interest for my family and company since it is my lively hood. Naturally I would vote democrat for this, but Obama isn't a run of the mill democrat. And that scares the **** out of me for business. Can any one please explain why Obama or Romney is better for small business? Because I just don't see either one actually delivering on this topic.
