Good series Chicago. It had some rough spots but it was a heck of a series. Not sure why the offense never showed up, but Mike Smith is approaching legendary status.

I'm so excited to watch Phoenix in their first 2nd round action ever. Let's go boys.

    Mike Smith vs Pekka Rinne.

Safe to say that this is going to be a low scoring series.

Congrats napalm. Great series, unfortunately the Hawks couldn't extend the series but it was awesome nonetheless. We definitely have to improve our defense and PP in the offseason if we're going to go anywhere. Good luck in the later rounds. Rinne vs Smith should be awesome.. in my eyes.. the two best goalies in the league right now along with Jonathan Quick.

Brutal first round in the West for me.

Every team I follow: Vancouver, Detroit, Chicago, and San Jose eliminated. I'm indifferent to negative on the remaining western teams -- Not a fan of Hitchcock hockey, Glendale nor Nashville are hockey towns, so I guess I'm reluctantly behind LA now.

Wash and Philly alive in the East. Plus always root against NYC teams -- Yankees, Knicks, Rangers -- doesn't matter.

Hehe. Being sad that Vancouver and Detroit are out is akin to being sad when the Mavs and Lakers get knocked out. :p

I'm excited to see a new crop of teams rising in the West.

I don't understand why so many people root against Phoenix, Florida, and Nashville because they're from southern cities. Do people want hockey to stay in the midwest, northeast, and Canada?

Does anybody else simply love hockey too much to only have one favorite team? I find myself having more "favorite" teams in hockey than in any other sport.

And on that note, I think I just saw Upshall basically tackle Bernier to the ground and start going to town on the back of his head with fists?

I only have one team. But I hadn't really had a favorite team till this past year. I've enjoyed post season hockey and have rooted for teams in the past. I don't know if I could have multiple teams in the same sport though. It's just not my thing.

Caps win game 7 in Boston. Two more game 7s tomorrow.
I can't believe you forgot to mention the Giants and the Jets.

Hope the Senators and Devils win the next few days.

Capitals and Bruins made an exciting series. Happy for the Capitals. Been an upset-filled playoffs so far. Let it continue!

Indeed, the SC finals are anyone's best guess.

I love the 'analysts' who picked Pittsburgh-Vancouver to be the finals. Safe picks didn't end up being so safe.

Guess what? Before twitter there were racist assholes. And there are racists who root for all teams. Just take a look at the D&D.

I was actually just on my way over to this thread to celebrate that a black guy scored the game winner when I read that article. Turns out northeastern fans aren't very classy.... who knew?

Also Ward is a former Aero. Go Ward and Smith.

Anyone see that Yip goal off of the rim around the glass? Talk about a mood killer. Phoenix played a great period otherwise.
