Google & UPS have handled this whole thing poorly, and not just for me but for a lot of people (XDA and AndroidCentral is flooded with people creating petitions and angry posts about all of this). I dont think there's been a more poorly handeld product launch logistically that I've bought. Anyways, I was supposed to get mine on Monday according to UPS and then Tuesday... and then now Wednesday (which for me doesn't work because I'm going out of town tomorrow for a lengthy time). I told them my situation so they MAY refund my shipping now. I had to pay UPS extra just to change my shipping address midway through the delivery which sucks. This was on Sunday... Spoiler then on Monday... Spoiler I think the Chrome issue will be fixed eventually. I've seen some good benchmark tests for Chrome in some areas. Apparently Boat and Dolphin have better browsing experiences according to some people on XDA. Here's a nice review video I found about browsers. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/iKuYoyo-pH8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Yeah, Google can't do a product launch for ****. I find Boat a pretty good browser on the 7. It's annoying how JB leaves the space for the menu buttons on everything though, really kind of makes it feel cramped. Eh, apps and battery life are two if the biggest things IMO. And at that resolution, the PPI gap isn't wide enough to be significant. The 10 is lighter though, thats a big plus imo. Just that they are fairly close in base price and the value is made up in software actually tailored to a tablet. For Someone who has no problem using either OS, there's just not anything that's a significant advantage. I felt when it was released the Nexus 7 had some over its competition. I do understand that bigger display preference though, it's just when you move to that size your options change considerably.
Definitely, you can't go wrong with either. I think the 7 does have and advantage over the Nook HD and Kindle Fire HD in different ways. The iPad mini isn't bad, I just don't think I'd pay regular price for it with the lack of Retina Display on it. From what I've seen there are still a large number of people who are on backorder. They got an email saying their orders would be fulfilled within 3 weeks, so I don't know how soon they'll be putting the order page up. I would say at least 2 weeks unless they start to take in more orders for backorder.
Got mine yesterday. Great phone but the battery life is getting to me, gonna be a tough call on going back to the iPhone 5 in a couple of days. Hopefully the battery life is a fluke but no way to ignore it
Just got my Nexus 4 and Nexus 10. Love em so far. Nexus 10's display is flawless. I haven't done too much experimenting yet, but I'll definitely be seeing how the battery lasts for my needs for the Nexus 4. I don't mind the Nexus 10 battery flaws, I don't anticipate using a tablet for 6 hours straight. The Nexus 4 is such a solid build compared to the Galaxy Nexus, it just feels a lot nicer in your hand.
The Nexus 4 smartphone made its debut on Google Play earlier this month, and quickly sold out. But the search giant has replenished its stock and will start selling the new gadget again today, starting at 3 p.m. Eastern. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2412526,00.asp
GOD D*****. Everything I read was that the Phone might be back in stock around late December so I bought a use G2x to replace my broken Galaxy Nexus and use the rest of the money to buy gifts. So now I have to wait until after Xmas to buy me my N4… Galaxy Nexus l l v Spoiler
seems google has dropped the ball twice now...unreal. they better hope to figure it out by christmas or people are just going to turn to the iphone/windows phone
This isn't nearly as bad as the process to actually get an iPhone 5 when it came out. Google should do the same thing. Take the money, and just say there is a 5 week turnaround to deliver.
Forgive me for owning an iPhone for 4 years...but I am just recently getting myself involved in all other phones. Why all the love for this phone? In comparing it to a Galaxy S3, what are the advantages?
