Hornets will match. We never had a shot at him anyway...

Gordon doesn't want to play in NOLA. They could have worked out a sign and trade and, in fact, that's exactly what Morey was trying to do.

Turns out Gordon would rather sign with Phoenix and risk being matched by NOLA than get traded to Houston.

    Morey the Wizard.

Just to confirm, Phoenix had room to sign both gordon and goran, right?

The Rockets did not have the cap space to offer Gordon the max offer. He took the best offer out there knowing that the Hornets would match. The Rockets were feeling out Gordon and the Hornets for a sign and trade. There were a lot of moving parts there. You can go back to your pity party now.

So, if NO is going to match and Gordon really wants out of N.O. bad, then he should just sign his QO and give it to N.O. Puts them in a position where they know he is walking on them. They won't accept it and will then likely look to work with him on a trade rather than lose him for nothing.

    Are you sure?

I thought they were banned from trading to the Suns for 1 year.

Lamb has potential for a better overall game and more upside than the diminutive oft-injured Gordon. And is cheaper today. No biggie. Develop Lamb.

Uh, they could have easily made room for Gordon's $12.8 million max offer.

And Gordon really doesn't want to play in New Orleans:

Too bad Morey couldn't sell Houston that well.

What big free agent? Cant you see..nobody worth a damn wants to com here. Even if they did, Morey would throw the money at some undeserving Euro

So no Lee , no Gordon... as much as I loved Martin at first I've grown sour on him. I really hope Lamb come out strong , if not we're doomed at SG

No contracts signed until 11th. They can hammer something out before that date.

Houston wasnt planning on signing him out right. They would have executed a sign and trade with NO.
