He doesn't support his stars. He just creates a burden for them by being a dead fish on offense and letting superstars on the other end score on him on defense. A true role player is a player who does one or two things exceptionally well and is capable of making big plays now and then. Battier may have been a decent role player when he was first on the rockets, but after 2007 he really started stinking but still got by on his reputation.
they close out games from the line so often...because the refs send them to the line so often. that 3rd quarter was ridiculous. but heat weren't going to win regardless on a night when durant shoots this well and lebron and wade shoot so poorly on jumpers. and so many tips and bounces go just wrong at the wrong time.
