No matter how pathetic Kobe was looking on defense this year, and how spectacular the young wings of the league have been at times, he'd still get an All defensive team nod. Kobe would literally have to start shooting the ball at the other basket to not get an all defensive team nod. Matter fact, he'd probably miss most of those shots anyways, so they still might give it to him lol. Him being on the 2nd team this year, is ALMOST worse than him being on the 1st team over Tony Allen last year. Him being there over really good defenders like Iman Shumpert and Avery Bradley, is seriously an insult to not only the players, not only the league, but an insult the very notion of defense in the game of basketball. For a player to be continually rewarded for sheer mediocrity, it's really not even funny.. They are spoon feeding us cement mortar, and telling us its f***ing jambalaya . Kobe was absolutely atrocious at time on defense. Horrible rotations, getting absolutely left in the dust on penetrations, bad fouls, bad anticipations, getting pushed off spots, hardly moving his feet, rarely forcing steals and NEVER challenging shots or getting blocks. Ridiculous.
Your arguement is null because Dwight didn't even deserve to be first team this season (T. Chandler did). All-defense teams are usually a joke anyway, practically a popularity contest which is why Kobe keeps showing up on it every year.
You guys have no clue. Have you ever heard of "The best defense is a good offense"? That's why Kobe is on there.

Where's Shumpert?? Where's George?? Where's Iggy?? I can understand Bradley being left off since he only played in the 2nd half of the year. Those are 4 candidates more deserving than Kobe. It's a joke how he makes it year in year out.
