Amazing that the Rangers just completed a pretty epic collapse and aren't getting much heat for it. They were in first place every day since April 9th until the end of the game today.

Probably because they're still in the playoffs(for now).

Even going back to last year, I don't think the Braves got as much heat for their collapse as Boston. I could be wrong on that, ha.

They are, but they fell from being the best team in baseball, crushing their division, to losing their division on the last day of the season and being forced into a one game playoff against Baltimore. (most likely)

It's a pretty disastrous fall considering many believe they are the most talented team in the league.

On July 1st they were 50-29 with a 7 game lead in their division. They went 43-40 the rest of the way. They are lucky that the Angels didn't have Mike Trout to start the season.

still can't believe that we are going into a division with the rangers and the angels, and a team that just beat both of them for the division.

gonna be a long 5-7 years.

So if the Orioles and the Rangers end up with the same record, where is the one-game playoff played?

    Oh, I agree completely.

It was and is a disastrous fall for a team that is 1. coming off two WS appearances and 2. as you said, a team many consider the best or most talented.

Not disappointed with their fall though. :)

Actually it will be in Texas, now that there is not a tie.

Congrats to Miguel Cabrera on winning the triple crown. Who knows when we'll see this again?

Bad hire from the start; Red Sox will not retain Bobby Valentine as manager.

Braves one-and-done? Looks like it. 6-2 heading to bottom of the 7th.

Not sure I like it this way. A 163rd game to determine the 4th playoff team? Mehh.

Braves had won Kris Medlen's last 20+ starts, I believe.

Still love this format. Really gives an edge to winning your division. Wild card really is that again - a 2nd chance for a team that didn't win their division, instead of just being another playoff team.

    Wow, craziness in ATL.

Terrible inning for Pete Kozma. Missed the double play(late), called off the LF there and then didn't catch it.

    Terrible call by the ump.

Stupid act by the Braves fans.
