Not like they'll be missing anything. ;)

Kinda amazing to see all their guys slump or stop performing all at once.

Should have left ARod in. Chavez is now 0-14 in the postseason, with 6 ks, & committed a costly error last night.

4 runs in the ninth inning of game 1, 2 runs the rest of the series. Sometimes the bats are cold and there is nothing you can do about it.

I'm more surprised that Granderson had an average of .000

It will be interesting to see where the Yankees go from here. This core of players is all but done. A-Rod is a shell of his former self, as we saw in this series. Teixeira is no longer an elite hitter. Jeter had a resurgent year this year, but coming off an ankle injury, there's no guarantee he'll stay anywhere near that level. Rivera is a huge question mark, as is the rotation beyond C.C.

Unlike previous offseasons, there really isn't a big piece out there that the Yankees can go after, either, other than Josh Hamilton. We've speculated about who will overspend for Hamilton. Maybe the Yankees will panic and throw a ton of money at him.

They say they want to get the payroll down to around 187 million, but I'll believe it when I see it coming off a disappointing finish like this.

Yanks really lost this series when they couldn't capitalize on their 4 run 9th in game one. Once they lost that game, the bats remained cold for game 2 and than with Verlander on the mound for game 3 it was a fore gone conclusion (JV is not losing a game in this postseason).

Truly amazing when you look at just how bad all the Yankees key bats were in this series. The Yankees could have faced a team with a pitching staff half as potent as the Tigers and the result would have been the same.
