yeah, that was bad you know, Newt is obviously a very smart man and very knowledgable about the issues (probably more than anyone else in the running) - but this one trick pony of getting mad at the moderators at every debate is getting really old.
Is there anything to say, really? I mean, it's like when you look at your friend when he's completely and totally screwed up - you don't need to say anything for him to realize "Oh, crap."

He should... they showed tonight, to a man, they have absolutely no understanding behind the cause of the housing crisis. it was embarrassing to say the least.
At this point, I'm just waiting for the inevitable meme of Perry in a Obama "Hope"-style poster captioned "OOPS"... *edit*: Something like this:
I refuse to believe that out of the millions and millions of potential Republican candidates this is the BEST they can come up with..... REALLY? WTF... DEPRESSING. Anyone that says money and connections mean nothing, that all you have to do is work hard and pull yourself up by the boot straps need look no further than the disgusting lot running for the Republican nomination. The only one with a CLUE is Romney and Republicans are doing everything possible to NOT pick him..... we as a country are SCREWED.
Huntsman and Johnson are decent candidates and would probably fare best against Obama, really. As you can tell from the polling, though, the GOP base doesn't like their not-as-extreme-right positions.
I am listening to the debate from last night right now and I just heard some of the candidates talking about how banks shouldn't be allowed to grow so large that they are too big to fail. If these candidates also support deregulation how do they propose that these banks shouldn't be allowed to get to the point of too big to fail. Also if they are against bank bailouts how do they propose dealing with all the problems that will arise from lost funds of depositers for a failed bank?
FDIC insurance is really kinda socialist by their parameters anyway. So, I imagine their approach should be to repeal it and allow the market decide how big the banks can get. We won't need to bail them out because the depositors will be holding the bag, not the federal government.
Watched a little of the recent debate. Man, I do not see how any of these cats are going to win the nomination. I'm struck by how weak they all are. Lots of bluster trying to be the man and spouting off tough-sounding primary-poll-driven lines, but they all seem to be trying too hard and none seem comfortable with themselves. It will be interesting to see how Fox, Rush, and others try to build up the eventual nominee.
The only logical solution to this conundrum is that they support citizens taking it upon themselves to use their constitutionally protected weaponry to attack the banks when the banks grow to a certain size.
My favorite part of these recent debates is the following theme: Don't trust the government to run healthcare, better the economy, regulate wall street, or even to gather and act on security-related intelligence... But, yes, the president and congress should allow torture and execution of suspects without any oversight.
So brainwashed it is sad. He is the ONLY candidate who actually supports the constitution (not just lip service), the only candidate who is fighting for your freedom (which Americans used to have).
I respect Ron Paul, but some of his policy positions are proven failure. They've been tried before and failed horribly. I don't feel as bad about few of them after some of the discussion on this bbs, but the gold standard is ridiculous, and the lack of regulation is deadly. some of his policy positions are spot on. But I do believe he is sincere in his belief in all the positions he holds, so that is something he has that no other politicians really have.
Let's make a two column list and weigh the pros and cons. Ron Paul Genius ................................. Ron Paul Crazy
Define "supports the constitution". I'm sure Mitt Romney and Rick Perry like the constitution, and everything they do is generally within its limits. What does Ron Paul do that shows that he's the big constitution supporter that they aren't?
damn Newt, spanks scott: <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/igxgegOSniY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
