I want to comment back on my post 2 pages back of the poll from CNN asking republicans who do they favor the most, and Ron Paul won that. Post link is here http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=6632330&postcount=2587

Because there is a video out that clearly provides more bias from the media against Ron Paul. Chris Matthews show the same results as in my link, but leaves out the winner Ron Paul!!!!!

lol MSM media at it again

They are going to recount Maine and possibly include the county that's holding their caucus this saturday because of the "snow storm".

    hee hee!

Awesome. Maybe this is the first domino to get Romney to drop out.

Just heard this news myself. Paul has already gained 40 votes after counties last night were recounted, so now he is behind by 150+ votes with expectations of over 350+ people turning out today to caucus... and you better believe the Ron Paulites will be out in FULL FORCE.

I'm expecting a reversal of who won.

You expect the group of 350 voters who will turn out will make up for a deficit of 150?

Forget stats, which you've already shown yourself to be an utter failure. Go look at a sports newspaper. If there are seven games left in a season, and one team is ahead by the other by three games, it is incredibly likely that the team that is ahead will finish ahead. You should know that much.

Well I think I'm counting on an elephant in the room that is being ignored by you. Ron Paul supporters get crap thrown at them for talking about how good Paul does in polls and does so bad in primaries... well this event taking place tomorrow wouldn't be as important as it is without the Ron Paul supporters. If they didn't cry foul, and send thousands of emails and phone calls and getting this media attention they wouldn't be recounting votes and the votes tomorrow wouldn't even matter... but they will. I'm expecting a swarm of RP people there tomorrow. This means more to the Paul people then the Romney people. That's really all I'm trying to say.

However, given this GOP Chairman's skills in calculating and adding numbers, I'm not so sure how his "recounting" will go lol

There are ~6000 registered Republicans in Washington county. Given the importance and media attention given to the Washington county caucus it isn't out of the question they get 10% turnout (i.e. 600 voters) or even more.

On top of that, Gingrich/Santorum supporters in the county may choose to back Paul just so they can inflict an embarrassing defeat on Romney. Not to mention Washington was one Romney's worst counties in 2008.

If you think Paul has no chance of winning Maine - either you haven't been paying attention or your math skills are lacking...

    2008 Washington County results:

    McCain: 51
    Romney: 40
    Huckabee: 8
    Paul: 8
    Other: 6

This is possible. However, no caucus ever gets remotely close to 10% turnout. Maine has 1 million registered voters and about 6000 (0.6%) caucused this year. If you assume about half are Republicans, then 1.2% of the GOP voters caucused this year. That would translate to about 70 people in Washington County, which fits pretty well with 2008's numbers. The only reason that they would get such high turnout this weekend is because of the controversy.

So yes, Ron Paul might win - but he would only win because of the counting all the issues there, which kind of ruins the whole point. Had everything been done properly, there's no way he'd have won because he couldn't make up the vote difference with the normal turnout you'd get.

This statement is false by a longshot Major. Have you heard of all the questions surrounding the results given to you this past Saturday?

Some of the counties reporting show 0 for total votes when in fact there were numerous votes done that day. A minister of one of the precincts who job is to call in the official results of his precinct in to the GOP committee, when he called to give his results the GOP told him they already had #'s from his precinct, and the #'s they were falsely given were entirely wrong in Romney's favor. So make a comment in assuming the remaining voting turnout if the other caucuses weren't canceled implies that the information you have to say that is true which is not the case. #'s shown on last Saturday are not accurate, and if they were, Paul very well could have been up by 500 votes and then we would sitting here be saying Romney doesn't stand a chance if all the caucuses were held last Saturday.

This was only 1 of 2 counties that Romney lost in 2008. Romney got 51.7% in the state but only got 35.4% here. Also, it isn't out the question that Gingrich/Santorum supporters go for Paul just to get Romney defeated. So I wouldn't be surprised to see Paul get a large share of the vote...

Actually 113 people caucused in Washington county in 2008 - regardless, I agree with your points.

This is sort of correct. But the point is that the Maine GOP that was trying to screw Paul over will instead have delivered Paul a victory. As someone who supports Paul, I have no sympathy for them....

I have to respectfully disagree with you Batman.

I don't think it's fair to lump ToyCenter in with the likes of basso, bigtexxx and HighTop. Basso, bigtexxx and HighTop are trolls of the most transparent kind. They don't really believe what they post, they just love being assholes and trying to get under peoples skin. ToyCenter's nonstop barage of Ron Paul propaganda is not. He's a true believer, plain and simple. It is annoying and for the most part not based in reality, but it's not trolling.

Just my opinion of course, but I think I'm right. Of course it's also very possible that I have been trolled by him and am just not seeing it.
