I also felt this way initially, but there seems to be evidence of shady things going on in Maine. My sentiment exactly. I might vote for him, but I do not like him. But my dislike isn't strong enough to dismiss him completely like how I feel about Santorum.
Well I think like someone mentioned for the Nevada caucuses that a caucus is an event that takes more of your time then a regular primary does and most of the "young" people prefer not to use an hour or two for that. Secondly, it's easier to post online and to click "Ron Paul" on the polls then it is to go vote. And last but not least, I really think you have to look at the questions arising out of Nevada and Maine... and if you do that you might as well revisit the concerns the Paul supporters had after the Iowa caucus. Alot of it also I believe is just deception. By this I mean, when the media says things like Paul isn't electable, a vote for Paul is a wasted vote, and they throw the projected Delegate numbers on the screen that hold that least bit of truth since a tiny % of delegates have been awarded to anyone, I think overall it has an effect on the voters. Perception is Paul is so far behind even "contending" that it's a complete waste of time. That sums it up, but I think we'll see more of the same throughout these primaries/caucuses where whenever the numbers are favoring Paul, he comes up just short somehow. I mean yesterday, supporters of RP (not even the official RP campaign) created a No One But Paul moneybomb. A huge donation (that rose above 1 million in 1 day) clearly telling the GOP that they aren't voting for anyone else but Paul. They will not go along just to get along like the majority of the nation.
how is it the media is full of deception and ToyCen continues to be duped by CNN and Fox coverage of anything Ron Paul related. one day ago he is b****ing about their polls and one day later he is posting their results. tomorrow will be another conspiracy by the mainstream media (MSM!) and The Powers That Be (TPTB!) now for a serious question- do states require you to be a registered Republican in order to participate in a GOP caucus?
Slow your horses down cowboy... Media is full of deception when in the view of the public eye they ridicule Ron Paul and display their personal opinion towards him in a negative way. Do you deny this? And trust me I don't think much of the poll I posted above, because this will not get mentioned again in another CNN broadcast. It's over and done with, out of sight out of mind. Do you deny this? MSM and TPTB. Do you deny this?

Thanks for the reply. I understand your frustrations with the way you see Paul treated by the cable news networks. On one hand it's easy to say Paul has no shot, that's why he is largely ignored but then when you consider that other candidates who had the same or even less of a chance get their turn in the spotlight it's hard to wonder wtf is going on. I'm not a Paul supporter, but if I was I'd probably be pissed too. All that said, your explanation still doesnt explain his performance at the polls this year. He is routinely getting beat by all the other candidates and the only explanation that makes sense to me is that his message(while resonating strongly to you and others) doesn't fit what the vast majority in this country want.
There's only been 4 primaries so far: New Hampshire - South Carolina - Florida - Missouri Finished in 2nd in NH (no chance competing with Mitt in this state) Finished 4th in SC Finished 4th in Florida (expected to do bad there, no campaigning, can't compete financially in Florida) Finished 3rd in this beauty contest in Missouri - - Official results will come in March If they went to a few other states before going straight to the south, this wouldn't even be a question. Florida is a big state that was moved up in the order to benefit Romney. Romney/Gingrich are heavily favored in the south. He won the straw poll in a landslide among republican officials in Tennessee and Arizona... which means nothing until we see the official results from the primaries. I feel as the delegates get officially allocated to the candidates, so will more votes and the turnouts will increase.
I'm thinking people sit back and say, I like his ideas, but Romney is obviously the safe bet here. He doesn't want to change the world as we know it, and talks about improving things the current President has done wrong. If he can just right a few wrongs in office it will be much better for everyone. But as a Paul supporter, it's crazy to hear the other 3 candidates views and policies because no one is questioning the things Paul wants to change like too many wars, the value of our currency going to hell, having the mentality that if American's can't run their life the way we determine they should live, then it will be enforced. If Ron Paul doesn't win, his message will still be there and it will be up for grabs among the politicians who want to grab those votes.
