Rachel Maddow's show is sometimes hard to watch for me. Although for the most part I agree with her views sometimes she goes crazy train on an issue and just beats it into the ground. She also tries to be funny at times and absolutely fails. That being said, I've never seen a roundtable discussion she was a part of where she didn't absolutley own the conservative. Her grasp of the issues and her ability to talk a consevative into a corner are incredible.
i know, i now like her show more than maher's and i agree with her a lot less than maher. sometimes i feel really good about myself when i can correct some mistakes she makes yeah, she was on meet the press last sunday and she made the conservative look like clowns. other progressives let them get away with saying the most outlandish things. on a sidenote, the hick from florida known as scarborough before december's unemployment report was talking about how goldman sachs was predicting the number to go back up and he seemed all happy about it and then you should have seen him monday on this contraceptive medicine rant. I love his sidekick though, this is one of the baddest chicks on political television and her famous political scientist father is a huge obama fan. i also like michelle bernard who is a guest on hardball a lot
Paul currently in the lead in Maine: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...WZjS1FwTW8wTzVyOEJ6dmg4cHc&toomany=true#gid=1
these bombings you see on the news recently are so sad... what if your son or daughter had their legs blown off because of a bomb from another country... would you not wear "terrorist" on your sleeve with pride? its so sad words cant explain it.
I did not know the object of foreign policy was to make everyone love us. I guess Sweden really is the most successful nation on Earth then.
If our military only cost us 2% of our budget, we might have a few $$ for other programs... Just sayin.
(Somehow my post ended up empty...hmm....this is what I was going to post Mitt Romney wins* Maine over Ron Paul by 194 votes. I think Romney avoids what could have been a damaging loss for him. With Gingrich fading and Santorum picking up steam nationally, this will be a fascinating race... *There are still 98 precincts who haven't voted yet and Ron Paul could be the actual winner before it is all said and done - we will have to wait and see....
I didn't think so much until this morning I see that the official Paul campaign released a statement: So in other words the Maine GOP is saying to those other 17% precincts that went uncounted from last night, that they can still vote but your votes won't count. Craziness I don't know what to think.
Never mind that Paul is down by 200 votes, and Washington County in 2008 (when turnout was almost identical statewide to this year) accounted for a TOTAL of 112 votes, as follows: McCain: 51 Romney: 40 Huckabee: 8 Paul: 8 Other: 6 The whole Maine caucus system over 2 weeks is silly. But this whole "every state is a conspiracy against Ron Paul" crap is really stupid.
Well give him credit will you? He spent alot of his time campaigning in Maine this last Month or so and had huge support in Washington county. You can't really look at 2008's numbers. I was hearing GOP volunteers were overwhelmed at the turnout because while expecting 50 or so people they had close to 400 come out.
What turnout? The caucus was postponed. You're hearing a lot of things - and they tend to universally be untrue. You'd think you'd have learned that by now. Example: Ron Paul Press Release: “Of course, their excuse for the delay was ‘snow.’ “That’s right. A prediction of 3-4 inches – that turned into nothing more than a dusting -was enough for a local GOP official to postpone the caucuses just so the results wouldn’t be reported tonight. Reality: the National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning, which calls for six to 10 inches of snow and hazardous driving conditions. It seems the NWS is part of this anti Ron Paul conspiracy?
