I hope this does jinx us. I think we should keep the young guns and let them develop. Hell, if they all pan out to be great, we might be happy as could be that these trades did not go down. But then again, Howard to Houston would be epic, but im not holding my breath.
Completely agree. The whole drama of the situation seems to have helped the Rockets from a leverage standpoint as well. The perfect storm is approaching. I'm hoping Morey is who I think he is and keeps the majority of the youth.
Someone gets it. If we were giving up all our fresh talent, Dwight would have been here on draft night, or the day after. Truth is, Hennigan really didn't want our draft picks before, and doesn't want them now. 5/1 odds says it's our new future picks, including the 2nds, plus Morris and Pat, plus a mass ton of expirings/non-guarantees, and possibly Scola to LA in some form. Morey is taking back contracts (which honestly, aren't that bad), that is why we aren't giving away the farm.
I thought you couldn't out do your thabeet/flynn and cast of last year winning 2 championships post, but this could do it for being just as dumb
I think Hennigan wants a lot. I think if the Rockets trade for Howard, the Rockets needed to get the Toronto pick and more non-guaranteed contracts. This doesn't mean he doesn't want the 2012 picks. I doubt Orlando gets all of the picks, but have a hard time seeing Orlando not getting at least one of the 2012 picks.
