Oregon needed a 60 minute game and got one, but the big plays they gave up were ridiculous.

After watching this, I give USC a decent chance to beat Notre Dame, who's offense just isn't up to snuff from what I've seen.

This college football season is nothing more than an Alabama coronation.

LSU has found life after all! We'll see if they can punch it in.

    And there's the TD.

The 3rd and short and 4th down calls were very uncreative. Les Miles should have come up with more than that.

Oklahoma State just ended any chance they had. K.State will hang on.

Getting down to closing time in Baton Rouge.

This game was supposed to be a test of Alabama's offense (they've failed), but it's turned into a test for its defense. There is no reason LSU's miserable offense should be dominating Alabama's defense.

Mettenberger is playing out of his mind, and their o-line is doing a great job.

In the 2nd half, Mettenberger finally lived up to expectations. His throws have been perfect and clutch. I don't blame Alabama's defense that much.

A first down ends the game which means it won't happen.

Prevent defenses prevent defenses from wining.

LSU's d-coordinator should be tarred and feathered for having their DBs play soft. Just stupid.

screen pass vs. all-out blitz = trouble. Great playcall.

Another thing: Les Miles should have gone for the first down instead of trying to milk 35 more seconds off the clock. I don't know why coaches make that same mistake year-after-year. Once again, cutting the 35 seconds didn't affect the opposing offense. Either you stop them or you don't, so the best option is to try your best not to give them the chance.

So close to KSU vs Oregon, but both Notre Dame and Alabama pulled off miracles. It's going to be interesting to see how voters rate all these teams as the season goes on.

Agreed - if there's 1 minute left and you can bleed the clock to 30 seconds, sure. But at 2+ minutes? That's plenty of time in college where 1st downs stop the clock.
