you should cut derozan during trade period and sign someone under 1 mil. derozan isn't good anyway. or battier.
i'd cut derozan, but depends who you find for under 1 mil. i can think of at least two very good cheap defensive 3s atm still available. but there are some good guards too
i said that he should consider cutting derozan or battier, not that battier sucks. he's over cap. (although now that you mention it, he did kind of suck last year...)
