I'm okay with having a low key attendance in Toyota Center... Not everyone can be into something as cool as Rockets basketball, so I say screw them...
I will be attending the Rockets game when they visit Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings. Too bad the Rockets won't be earning my money there.
Yes, if the strategy was to increase attendance by turning off the TV for a lot of people I don't think that will turn out to be an effective strategy.
i watched lakers/kings game tonight and compared that to all of our preseason rocket games, SAD SAD SAD
couple of reasons why attendance sucks just from my observation: 1. The average Houston fan is a fair weather fan. will only go if the team is good. 2. The team really sucks right now. No superstar to lure fans. 3. The prices for tickets havent gone down despite the team sucking. Ive noticed basically the same prices now as they were when we had yao n tmac. So a **** team w/ high ticket prices, add the fact that their are a lot of games in the NBA (compared to NFL) results in low attendance.
Yup, though during playoffs it was okay. My guess is the lack of energy, commentators always said this place is so quiet, is what made Elie, Max & Dream lash out at them after game 1 & 2 vs. phoenix in 1994. The Rockets really needed the people behind them and if you can't support a team during those days, what do you expect this year?? Even with that humongous scoreboard, I don't see us making the top 25 in attendance. If I were Leslie, I would move the Rockets some place else. You can't fault him for trying, it's just never going to happen.
That would be nice since the term Rockets and Kansas City is already famous but are the fans there any better?
Grey is a depressing color, so the Bobcats remove it this year. Rockets should change their jerseys design.
Why on earth would les move the team? Those cooperate box seats in Lexus lounge make more money than not selling out half of the arena.
Jeremy Lin could be scoring 85pts at Toyota Center and the crowd still wouldn't be impressed... Playing at the Toyota Center is like playing at:
