Hah no prob. Thanks for posting. Not surprising about DDJ or Singleton but I am a little surprised at Springer's exclusion. Some really bad world prospects made the team this year (e.g. Jae-Hoon Ha of Chicago) because of the 1 prospect per team rule but I'd love to see Chan Moon on futures game roster in 1-2 years.
Thankfully, no staying up till midnight for me, as the field in Visalia is still not in playing condition, postponing the Lancaster game. There's still a doubleheader that's on for 4:30 Pacific tomorrow afternoon.
Surely this is a mistake: http://www.milb.com/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2012_07_12_nozaaa_orhaaa_1 Brett Wallace playing SS for OKCity tonight?

Interesting that they didn't put Sanchez @ SS and Wallace at 2B. SS is the more demanding position as far as range.

Brady Rodgers K'd 7 in 6.1 innings tonight for another tri-city win. He gave up 7 hits but didn't walk anyone. Lowered his era to 0.89.
Thursday Stories Rallies were the theme of the night... and dramatics too!!!!! Great night on the farm, unless you're Greeneville. Recap OKC found themselves down 3-0 to New Orleans at stretch time. But in the bottom of the 7th, they mounted a rally to erase that deficit, and ended up with a 4-3 victory by scoring all 4 in the 7th. Brett Wallace and Matt Dominguez led off with singles, then after 2 outs, J.B. Shuck's single loaded the bases. Brandon Barnes drew a bases-loaded walk to drive in Wallace, and then Angel Sanchez legged out an infield single to score Domiguez. Fernando Martinez tied it with an infield RBI single, and Barnes would score what would turn out to be the winning run as Donnie Murphy threw the ball away. Sanchez and Martinez each had 2 hits. Paul Clemens went 4 2/3 and allowed 3 runs on 4 hits (2-run homer), walked 3, and struck out 3. Hector Ambriz got the victory, pitching 2 1/3 scoreless innings. He allowed a hit, walked 1, and fanned 1. Mickey Storey pitched a 1-2-3 8th, and David Carpenter threw a 1-2-3 9th for the save. Brett Wallace was pressed into duty at shortstop, and he did commit an error. But, it was probably his first game ever at shortstop. He never made an appearance there at Arizona State. Even more dramatics, as Corpus rallied from 4-0 with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th, and got a walk-off 3-run shot from Austin Wates to top Frisco 8-7 in 11 innings. Before that, he tied the game at 4 in the bottom of the 9th by clearing the bases with a double. He finished 3-5. Jair Fernandez's RBI single in the 9th was the other RBI. After the Roughriders took a 5-4 lead in the 10th, Drew Muren doubled in the bottom half and eventually scored on a wild pitch. Jake Goebbert went 3-4 with a double. Ross Seaton pitched 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits, walking 2, and striking out 4. Erick Abreu gave up 2 in the 9th. Josh Zeid got 2 Ks in the 10th, but he hit 2 consecutive batters (1 with the bases loaded) to give Frisco the lead. Jason Stoffel was charged with 2 runs (both inherited) in the 11th, as Henry Villar allowed both to score. Lancaster was unable to play since the field in Visalia remains in crappy condition. Lexington rallied from 5-1 in the bottom of the 9th and went on to outlast Kannapolis as they walked off 6-5 winners in 15. Jordan Scott's RBI single was the game-winner. Delino DeShields finished 5-7 with a double, but he never attempted to steal. Mike Kvasnicka was 3-7 and scored the winning run. Scott finished 3-6. Nolan Fontana was 2-6 with a 2-run double in the 9th. Matt Duffy added an RBI groundout, and Zach Johnson's RBI double tied the game. Johnson finished with 2 RBI. Luis Ordosgoitti pitched 6 1/3 innings, allowing 4 runs (2 inherited) on 7 hits, walking 1 and striking out 3. Mitch Lambson pitched 1 2/3, allowing a run (and 2 charged to Ordosgoitti) on 2 hits and striking out 2. After that, Nathan Pettus, Murilo Gouvea, and Gabriel Garcia shut down the Intimidators the rest of the way. None of them allowed a hit; Gouvea threw 3 perfect innings, striking out 3. Pettus and Garcia each threw 2 scoreless. Tri-City has scored the 2nd most runs in the New York-Penn League. They've also allowed the fewest runs. There's no secret as to why they've been so successful this year. Tonight was no different, as they pummeled Williamsport 8-1. Everyone had at least 1 hit, while 6 guys had 2 hits. Andrew Aplin went 2-4 with a double, a triple, 2 runs scored, and a steal (14). Austin Elkins was 2-3 with an RBI single, scored twice, and added a steal (7). Dan Gulbransen was 2-5 with 4 RBI, on a single, and by clearing the bases with a double in the 8th. Jarrod McKinney was 2-5 with an RBI single, and Jobduan Morales had an RBI single and an RBI groundout. Brady Rodgers scattered 7 hits across 6 1/3 shutout innings and fanned 7. Kenny Long and Jamaine Cotton didn't allow a run in their stints, while Lance Day allowed the lone run in the 9th. On the other hand, Greeneville was whacked by Elizabethton in the middle game of their series by a count of 12-1. D'Andre Toney had 1 of only 2 hits for the Appy Astros, a double. Terrell Joyce had a single. Brian Blasik had a sac fly and that was it. Richard Rodriguez threw 4 2/3 and allowed 6 runs (4 earned) on 5 hits, walking 3 and striking out 5. The only pitcher out of the bullpen to not allow a run was Christian Garcia, who allowed a hit, a walk, and struck out 1 in his 2 innings of work. The GCLstros topped the Cardinals 4-3, as Darwin Rivera's RBI single in the 7th proved to be the difference. Rivera is looking to make his way back to Greeneville, as he also added an RBI single in the 5th. He's now hitting .383/.422/.519 with 2 homers and 15 RBI in 22 games. Remember, he was the regular 3B in Greeneville last season. With Angel Ibanez struggling out of the gate, Rivera could possibly be on his way up soon. Wallace Gonzalez had an RBI single in the 4th, and Jose Solano scored on a balk in the 3rd. Continuing his rehab assignment, Jose Valdez allowed a hit in a scoreless 1st. Chia-Jen Lo followed with a scoreless 2nd, allowing a hit and striking out 1. Michael Feliz pitched the next 4 innings, allowing 3 runs (2 earned, 1 inherited) on 3 hits, walking 3 and striking out 5. Alan Abreu allowed one of Feliz's runs to score in the 7th. Erick Gonzalez got his 5th save of the season, as he allowed 2 hits, walked 1, and struck out 2 in 1 2/3 innings. The Academy was blanked again, losing 1-0 to the Dodgers. Cristian Murillo had a double, the only extra-base hit for the DSLstros. Juan Hernandez allowed a run on 7 hits in 5 innings, walking 1 and striking out 2. Victor Mesa pitched 3 scoreless, allowing 1 hit and striking out 1. The Academy's offense has been pretty woeful, to say the least. Oh well, most of them probably won't even make it out of the Academy, much less the GCL. Tomorrow.... Lance McCullers makes his debut in the GCL!
I think we're at the point where we can call DDJ's year a full breakout season. As recently as a few weeks ago, he was still really pulled down by his batting average and I kept telling myself it was an excellent rebound year but not quite a breakout. After going 5/7 last night he's sitting at .290 with a good shot at .300+ and a .400+ obp by the end of the year. He's looking at a jaw dropping .300/.400/.420 10hr/100sb season at the age of 19 in LoA. For reference, Billy Hamilton put up a .278/.340/.360 3hr/103sb season at the age of 20. Same level (LoA) and he jumped into the top 100 at 48.
The time is upon us! It's middle of the 1st and LMJ is about to take the mound: http://wap.milb.com/2012_07_13_astrok_natrok_1/
