David Moyes it is. Best of luck to him, hopefully he can have a long successful career at Old Trafford!
What would be the reason behind SAF not wanting Pep to take over his team? Was it because of their CL rivalry?
He probably didn't want to retire when Pep was out of the job. Bad timing I reckon? I think something health related happened over the past week which is why he decided to step down. He's been banging on how he's not going to retire this whole season and then all of the sudden, change his mind? Moyes isn't my first choice to be his replacement but if SAF thinks its the best move, then I will agree with him.
I know the lure of taking of ManU is something nearly impossible to resist. But to be the first after Fergie is not a job that I'd want. The first hint at regression and the fans will go even more ape s*** than they already do on a weekly basis.
Roberto Martinez or Neil Lennon? Since we all know Mourinho is going to Chelsea this summer, who's going to be Real Madrid's next coach?
Ancelotti supposedly has a pre contract with Madrid. Mourinho to Chelsea isn't guaranteed-since Mourinho leaving Madrid isn't guaranteed. It's a staring contest at the moment, according to reports. We'll see who blinks first, Perez or Mourinho. Neither of them want to break the contract(firing or leaving) and then have to pay out or pay back a fair bit of money. I believe Perez would love for Roman to step in and just pay the money to break Mourinho's contract. So it's looking like a game of musical chairs. If Mourinho does or doesn't leave Madrid for Chelsea that affects Ancelotti's next move.
So I was going to come on here prior to the FA CUP and mention that word is Maury Pellegrino has a (Mou-Chelsea/Ancell-Madrid kinda deal/pre-contract to take over City at the end of the season. I figured if City won the FA Cup then Sheikh Mansour would give Mancini a reprieve. Welp, I gotta believe Mancini is done at City. Maybe back to Italy or even PSG for him(in the game of Football musical chairs). Wigan played better than anyone outside of their staff and supporters could have imagined they would, against City. WIGAN-FA CUP WINNERS (Now if they can pull off the great escape and stay up again, that would be just as impressive).
Hats off to Wigan, they deserved the win. Mancini seemed already gone, but this had to be the extra nail in the coffin. I think he could have fixed things with his own agenda but I think Man City wants to start mining Spanish roots and Malaga could bring some gems over to help fix the problems of poor tactics and lackluster interest by some players.
Wow OK.... so assuming Wigan gets relegated, will they still qualify for the Europa? I mean Championship teams aren't allowed in, are they...?
Yeah they still will. Championship teams are allowed in -obvy upon winning a league cup title. Birmingham City in 2011 come to mind.
Cray... Would be cool if they win it again next year while getting relegated to League 1. I hope that happens. -------------- In other news... congrats to Sturridge on his first hat trick in a Reds kit.
Campeones, Campeones, Campeones!! Wow nobody congratulating Barca on winning La Liga. I know it has been long time coming but I want to be congratulated Reeekoooo?
I don't think anyone gives a sh.., kinda expected with they way Real slumped in the first half of the season. Was all about CL this year.
