ESPN is reporting that Jozy Altidore was the target of racist chants. For those of you who don't <strike> give a crap </strike>know, Jozy is an black American Soccer player in the Netherlands. The point is, when is there a soccer game in Europe WITHOUT racist chants? While it's reprehensible that this dynamic exists, at least Jozy can take comfort that he's finally being treated as part of the club. That's rare company for an American soccer player in Europe. From John Terry to a stadium full of Romans the players and fans of the the black and white ball too often go below the belt when feelings are upset. I love soccer but to call it "the world's game" is laughable. Until Sepp Blatter shows some real stones on the issue I feel that all should adopt the Balotelli Policy: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ziwNKJ35m18" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Balotelli is one of my favorite players in all of football. I want to make a squad that is built around him in FUT.
Who wouldn't want to watch Messi and Ronaldo on opposing sides of the pitch? My kid will be watching Man U today, so I might have to stream the El Classico.
With Balotelli now going to Milan, that will free up some money for City to possibly dip into the transfer window as they have yet to make a move. City's biggest need is a dynamic winger who can not only play wide, but can finish around the net. City are being linked with David Villa who while primarily a striker, can play wide as well. His time in Barcelona has been dissapointing, but before he moved their in 2010, he was considered one of the best forwards in the world. It will be interesting to see if City are able to aquire him, or another top winger before the deadline.
City have also been linked with big-money moves for Napoli striker Edison Cavani and Atletico Madrid's Radamel Falcao. Manchester City are not interested in any deal for Barcelona striker David Villa, according to reports. Reports suggest both City and Arsenal are keen on the frontman, who has struggled to hold down a regular first-team place at Camp Nou this season. But Arsene Wenger denied any Gunners' interest on Tuesday and Sky Sports understands City are also ruling out a deal.
I wouldn't call it disappointing. We won 4 Cups and La Liga with him since he's been here. His injuries have been disheartening though.
Falcao isn't expected to go anywhere until the summer. Cavani would be a nice addition. Neymar is supposedly a shoe-in for Barca, so they will probably part with Villa.
I cant believe i miss the big match.Totally remembered the wrong date.Hopefully one of the channels will replay it.Off to another game vs Man City.
